Swapped in a 3rd gen TRD OR suspension with 1300 miles on my 2010 with 38,000. Definitely an improvement!17FCE543-247F-4945-9889-F036167CCF10.jpg

This will be my next "mod". On the lookout for a similar package. Were the top hats marked L and R or did you go by the paint marks on the springs for L and R.

I was lucky enough to be searching the 3rd gen marketplace and found a set 15 minutes local! I didn't even know that the top mounts were marked. I put the red/green marked on the driver side with the dots facing back. I faced the dots back because thats how the stock ones cam out. It probably doesn't make any difference

From what I saw in a copy of the repair manual you just have to have the bottom starting point of the coils facing forward. I hope I find something local. You mind me asking what is costs you. Did you use the floor jack method to swap coils. Notice any alignment changes.

So if that is true then mine could be backwards. I dont think it matters though because I have no ill effects. I paid $300. Didn't bother negotiating at all. That set was brand new however so if you find a set that has some miles you could find for cheaper. I am actually a mechanic so I have access to a lift. It would be super to do on jacks still however. All I did was pulled upper ball joint Sway bar links and the sway bar bushing and of course the shocks themselves. Definitely torque the front lower shock bolt at ride height. As for the rear I live with salt so I ended up just cutting the top nut of the rear shocks. My original shocks had 38,000 miles on them so I doubt there would be much droop so In my case the alignment stayed very close. Would be a good Idea get one done after the fact though.

Thanks for sharing the info. When I did 4x Billies on my 3rd gen, set to level, the alignment was spot on so I got lucky. My 08 O.R. only has 84k and still rides good and tight. Mine is rear wheel drive so hoping the new springs and struts give me a little boost up front with a little less roll. Yours appears to be near level now. $300 is still cheaper than 4x Billies plus you get better springs.

Just about 3/4" of rake left in it. Might do an AAL to rake it back out some more but not sure. Thats all part of the fun!

Well… I did the anytime fog light mod today, then I immediately hopped in my truck to run to the store and my CEL came on when I started it up. Can’t reason why the two would be related but I guess I’ll figure it out tomorrow.

I followed @piercedtiger ‘s write up on it. The same one where you tap into the solid green wire in the fuse box. I unplugged the two small wire bundles to get better access but I can’t imagine that would’ve thrown a code. I’m gonna run by the neighborhood O’reillys tomorrow and try to get a scan tool.

Not familiar with that method, looked over it real quick. What is the green wire powering that you tap into?

Really not sure… But everything is connected… Like I said I’ll be figuring it out tomorrow. I’m hoping I didn’t mess anything up:D

I needed the clutch switch and wiring (since I have a manual trans), along with all the wiring from the column and gauge cluster to the ECM. One of the threads here on adding cruise control had a link to a seller on eBay who sold the complete wiring kit.

For an 11 year old truck in Wisconsin, that undercarriage looks great. Most pics of undercarriages from salt states are horrendous. What do you do for rust prevention?

Funny sign. I allegedly missed a similar sign at the beginning of a off shoot dirt road like this over the weekend. Came back down to the start of the road to find a forest ranger blocking the road. Wrote me up a nice little warning. Not a ticket though so I lucked out on that.

I Have the Flowmaster FlowFx single side exit exhaust and I love it, the tone is immaculate and it's never been obnoxious, however there are some situations where it was a little louder (but it's pretty loud, I just like really loud cars)
