Except not "pay day" just fund transfer day. I have a recurring transfer from savings to investment account near the first of every month. If you are looking to invest long term and the volatility scares you, you should be Dollar Cost Averaging.

"Dollar-cost averaging (DCA) is an investment strategy in which an investor divides up the total amount to be invested across periodic purchases of a target asset in an effort to reduce the impact of volatility on the overall purchase. The purchases occur regardless of the asset's price and at regular intervals."

This is not my exact strategy, as I don't purchase the same stock every time. But this is my strategy in a sense that the market as a whole fluctuates. I put that money into whichever of my stocks I feel is at the best value. If the bloodbath continues, I may just put a little more in than my standard monthly contribution.

Ive been investing in GME for nearly a year, not much in the market scares me at this point. And I have several accounts, one gets auto buys every month, the other I just dump money into when I feel like it.

I figured I should pad the Roth out with this tasty dip. forgot I didn't max it out for 2021 so this last bit is me maxing it out with GME shares.

Honestly I have triple digit shares in the roth and triple that amount between play accounts. The math is there. They never covered.

This. I'll hold these shares forever if I have to. My calls are burning but I got some time (Feb 18, March something)
