LOL well I used a dust pan a week ago soooo... You'd be surprised how good it "shovels" snow off the glass

 

It works on glass if it’s not too deep. Kind like when you use one of those headlight restore kits to remove the yellow film. First you use the provided sanding disc, then the buffing wheel and polish. We used to use rubbing compound with a high speed buffer (a real buffer not one of those orbital things) on glass back in the 80’s at a body shop I worked at; you would be surprised what you can do with a good cutting agent and polish.

 

I have never seen that. Going to give it a try on my old car

It’s happened once this yr (or was it last?) anyway I’m in the same boat, no scraper/never really need it, but I ended up using a rewards card bare handed all cold

 

I clay, compound, polish my glass- mainly before putting a coating. I’ll have to start doing that since I got some gtechniq glass coating but it’s been too cold and not top priority when it’s not

 

Do you notice any differences when doing that? By hand or using a DA or ?

 

This with a soft foam pad and a random orbital polisher. If done by hand it'll take years...

If the scratches in glass are really awful you need cerium oxide...

I did a similar thing to my Ruger LCP. When I first got it years ago I could rack the slide very easily. Father time has crept in though and it got very difficult to rack the slide on the little pistol. A company called ArachniGRIP makes some 3M sticky pads with material similar to Bedliner paint that fits in the grooves of the slide. Man does it make it so much easier to rack the slide now.
