I don't. But they're willing to teach me. I like chatting up the bus drivers about my projects and the work I do on the side as a youtube mechanic, and made good friends with the driver's union representative. He hyped me up to the engineering manager, and I interviewed with him and he hired me on the spot.

The important thing is I know how to do basic light vehicle repair, and I know my way around tools.

They were so ahead of their time. That FWD platform from the Eldorado/Toronado family was so freaking overbuilt. GM went to great lengths to "pre-stretch" the drive chain so there could never be a problem reported with it. It really took some kind of crazy abuse to bring down one of those platforms. It was the price of oil skyrocketing that ended the platform.

It was built on the 66 Toronado platform. These cars had a top speed of something like 135 MPH. This was before governors and speed limiters. They were incredibly stable to drive in the rain and on slick roads.

The only problem was the early models had drum brakes. You could haul ass in one so long as you didn't need to stop.

Was on a conf call once some years when a guy (from a vendor) was getting a BJ from his wife and forgot he didn't have the phone muted. Everybody on the call got to hear the happy ending. Then everybody started clapping and yelling. The whole thing was funny as hell. Embarrassed the fuck out of him though.

Honestly that's one of the best outcomes I can imagine for that, that's hilarious.

Hey folks, I’m semi new here and maybe just bad at forums…
I’m looking for a couple threads(hopefully they exist):
    - first gen(2000) headlights - aftermarket (I’d really like DLRs)
    - fog lights
    - camper builds (“Van life” style builds in the bed/topper)

    Any help would be great!
    Thanks!!
