It comes with a replacement plan if it gets shot. Will also be making some sort of armor for it. Maybe a cheap steel gong to put in front of it as long as the reception works.

I think you may be the first person I've ever seen run a KAG backwards like that. I've seen many mount a stop backwards and in the front but usually they are the smaller ones. Never seen a KAG mounted that way though or any angled forward grip mounted backwards and at the front for that matter. Interesting

My guess is it’s used as a good hand stop. Short Barrell and nobody wants to shoot their fingers off. I put a light an the top of mine to do the same thing. This is just my guess but makes sense

Yeah thats what I figured. and I've seen many handstops used there and also backwards, but they are usually much smaller with a vertical stop. Never seen anyone use an angled forward grip backwards as a hand stop there though. Seems like it's rather large for its purpose. I'm not knocking it...it clearly will work. Just never seen the KAG used in that fashion before.

True all my hand stops are small, just enough to keep my digits out of harms way. I even use a streamlight for a hand stop on one of my pistols

I run them like this since I always have my hands at the end of the hand guard. I have run smaller ones but the comfort is not there. I get shit for it all the time until others try it and go wow this works better for me.

I also have longer arms than most and my hands have tendency to go forward @ a 36 sleeve length so this keeps my hand from going forward. I have a box full of hand stops I have tried over the yrs yankee hill, ergo, magpul and others.

Just bend your support elbow to the side.

If you’re using a c grip with your hand, or using a angled grip, which essentially puts your hand the same way, the point is to lock your joints while you’re using rearward pressure. Your arm length or having a stop shouldn't matter.

As far as safety, how many times has…like anyone that wasn’t mentally slow… shoot their fingers off? The size of the stop or it being in the front shouldn’t even really being doing anything.

There’s a not really, sort of kind of, exception when shooting (fighting) from from a high ready after a snap. Which I’m frankly not concerned with anyone here having that problem.
