I've already asked @mZiggy for the tune for this install, but no joy! I don't wanna test drive yours just to know what I am missing! :duel: That being said, I did get the mythical version 8 of the Magnuson tune. Throttle was very pleasantly responsive, unlike stock tune. Power on demand even from low speeds. I didn't really get on it, just grandma'd it home. Top speed on the way home was 57 mph :crapstorm:

Yeah I had 0420/30 all the time when fixing my exhaust leaks at downpipe to y-pipe. So as you say, likely the wideband AFR bung/sensor connection spot. Unless the y-pipe was ever disconnected, double check those then too. The Toyota donut gasket sucks.

Your other code is I believe referring to the intake manifold runners...

I'm not too worried about the catalytic system efficiency warning. But the intake manifold turning valve control seems a bit more serious? Is it safe to drive for other errands in the mean time? Is it safe to drive back to them?

The intake manifold tuning valve control likely references the ACIS system. What did they do with the ACIS plug?

Hard to say. If it is referring to the runners, it would be related to the acis

Yes it’s safe to drive it back to them. Have them reread the following directions and locate the ACIS plug.

No idea. I've read to leave it in on the ATs because its boost engagement kick-in is too hard otherwise?

On another note, Drew did tell me that the version 8 Maggy tune has a new low engine temp cut off of 130 degrees. So until the engine warms up, it won't do as much. But I was definitely warm on my way home.

So the instructions say to leave the ACIS plug unplugged with the Magnuson install, yeah? So, if this code is being thrown and its from the ACIS, it would be because they plugged the ACIS plug back in? Just making sure I follow, because I could probably go unplug a plug, assuming its reasonably accessible.

My guess? They probably plugged the ACIS plug into somewhere it shouldn’t be. Or they did something other than just tape it off as the instructions state.

Funny, I got a file with v7 in the name and the truck is a dog until it warms up. I actually wanted to ask about it.

I believe this is normal, once it passes the first line in the temp gauge its ready to rock.

They're taking advantage of a custom patch/table that Mat/OV included for the 3GT that allows us to limit torque based on rpm vs Engine Coolant Temp, in order to stop people from starting their truck and immediately taking it up to redline while not warmed up and blowing their shit.

Started off as necessity on the Twin Turbo side. Those baby snails spool so easily down low and these trucks did not like seeing turbo boost when not warmed up

Yeah, that's what I observed. Sucks getting on the highway from work, she's not warmed up yet.

There is no ACIS unit when you install the supercharger. But it is possible they did something funky to the plug itself, crimped or cut the wires, plugged it into another plug off the engine harness or some other nonsense. Check the back of the intake manifold that they should have returned to you. Might find the plug still inserted with the wires cut. Lol

They said they would include all original parts in a box back to me. But nay, no box, no OEM parts. Also, the OBD2 port plug is now free-floating and no longer connected to the mount that its supposed to sit in.

The fault for the acis P0660-14 will pop up any time you pull faults. The system is no longer present, however it will not set a light by itself. I'm guessing you have an exhaust leak that is causing all your issues.

The modern Magnuson cold power limiters are still better than the early days in the Yw tune development. I had some serious butt pucker moments when entering traffic was scary, now I just laugh and do my best to ignore the fuel gauge.
