    Ohio, back in the day.

That specific photo I don't know, it's a quick Google result used as example.

I'll guess not PDX though, as you can see the unflattering Native American swing frame right and that probably wouldn't fly in the woke NW.

Although Portland did have an incredibly racist "**** Chicken Inn" for a while, so....

Absolutely. The clarity bumps up and my thought is better adhesion of any coating… similar to coating paint, you get better/longer results if the paint is prepped properly (clay and polished etc) so why wouldn’t the same apply. That’s the reason ceramic coating is so expensive, it’s all in the prep work needed for the best results and why the warranty is so long.

I most recently did my rsi canopy rear window because there were multiple ghost stickers that would only show up when wet (window was completely clean of adhesive by goo gone/alcohol/razor/clay bar) and some kind of mark that wouldn’t go away with simpler/traditional methods. I used a 5” da and started off with the least aggressive pad/polish pad (something I picked up YouTubing) and worked my way up until I was happy and went back up to a polish pad. I ended up getting the results I wanted with a heavy cutting pad. It removed the ghost stickers and whatever that mark/line was. And this was on a new window. Not sure how bad of a scratch you could pull being glass but with the right product and a da/pad you can make it the best it’s going to be or ever been (again depending on scratch obviously).

Your hand won’t give nearly the same results and the effort required will be discouraging. I have a harbor freight da with lake country 5”backing plate and pads. I bought the stuff at the rag company (because they have frequent deals and great customer service). I buy my microfiber from there too. I just bought a 3” backing plate and pads that I would of rather used on the small window. It’s a matte paint so this was my tape job with the bigger pad. A picture wouldnt pick up the before/after but in person is where it counts

Oooh. That’ll take up way less space in the glove box than the normal scraper.

Picture reminds me of the time I ran over a can of white spray paint in my black Sequoia. Made a mess of the back door. Me and a buddy backed the ass end into the garage, taped everything and repainted it. He's a former auto painter so he knew what he was doing. Turned out perfect. We left the paint dots on the license plate and part of the plastic bumper as a reminder of the 2 cases of beer that disappeared that day.

This is possibly beyond my level of attention. But after I keep looking at it for a week…. Those rsi stickers, I had one at some point, peeled the stickers with a razor and the dust or whatever would bring it back out.

I have to agree. I putted on the AJT and took it off. Prefer to just get the RAV4 just like you. Now I got knobs to get rid of.

Having a hard time finding T-Slot Nuts with 1/4 inch opposed to the normal 3/8 inch bolts on Amazon. Anyone order the 1/4 inch bolt size elsewhere?

The hardness of a material is rated in Mohs, where talc is 1 Mohs and diamond is 10 Mohs. Glass is somewhere around 5.5 to 7 Mohs, jade runs 6.5 to 7. Looks like our windshields are on the low end of the scale.

Next time use a credit card or your California License. They work well. A few years back I was in Salt Lake without a scraper and got a late frost in May. That's the most useful thing I've done with a credit card without it costing me money.
