I remember you saying you’re near Hartwell? If that’s the case, might I suggest James Short Tractor in Carnesville. They carry Stihl equipment, I’m sure Stihl battery equipment is decent.

Nice setup! Being partial to Yamaha myself, the RMAX seems to be a really well rounded SXS. Heard good things about those QS3’s too. You’ll have to report back if they are as comfortable as everyone makes them sound.
There any SXS trails systems near you?

Ok so I picked up a set of TRD headlights that I want to throw in my SR5. I am the worst at getting the right harness and have seen a couple different threads and websites saying which one I need. Has anyone on here done this headlight swap yet and know which harness is the right one I’ll need?

second…anyone willing to help with the install once I get the right harness? The youtube video I watched made it look simple but I’ve learned that is never the case.

Installing is very easy, a few bolts, that’s all. Jesse Rizo has a nice YouTube video showing the process.

I have battery powered Craftsman tools and Kobalt. Love my Kobalt much better. Chainsaw is really nice (40V). Craftsman weedeater and blower (20V) they dont last as long but the batteries arent too bad, so i have 3 can usually get my 1 acre lot done with those on 2 batteries. But if i had to do over again i would have bought Kobalt. It just has more power.

Agreed Going to jack up the front so the back drains probably. Just going to use some simply rubber washers as spacers. Thanks for the input too!

I have Ryobi's 40v system with a chainsaw, blower, hedge trimmer, and weedwacker currently. I'm not going to claim its the best stuff out there, it was never intended to be. But I haven't had an issue with any of it. I have 2 4Ah batteries which is way more battery life than I'll ever need - I've gotten 15 or so full cuts through an 18" log off a single battery, and since I primarily use it for clearing trees off of trails, I've never come close to running out of battery. I will say that like someone else, I also tried the battery powered lawnmower and returned it to buy a honda. It cut fine and was light, but two 4Ah batteries and one 6Ah was barely enough to cut just my front yard (~.2 acres), even though it advertised one 6Ah battery as lasting over an hour and allowing you to cut up to an acre.

Of the brands you mentioned, I would trust Makita the most.

I have some of the Ryobi 40V stuff. I don't think too highly of Ryobi overall, but bought these based on current (at the time) sale and reviews from colleagues. I've been happy enough with it that I would buy it again and have thought about picking up the chainsaw just to have. I also have some gas powered of the same equipment and the Ryobi hedge trimmers will cut thicker branches than the Echo gas powered ones.

I think you're to the point of just needing to wrap it with some cool camo or topo map.

I've really liked my 32" K9s. I got the soft version and run them at 6-8 PSI. I havent lost that much tread over the year I've been running them.

    Same crap everyone else got
So That bumper is for 2005-2011. They don't have a 2012-2015 but if you let them keep your truck for a week and they can use it to build the 2.5 gen bumper they told me it would only be $450. This was pre covid so that might have gone up but you could probably work something out with them.

If you like the lo pro style, us offroad is an amazing value. They are out of Texas if the owner is on the site so you could message him and try to work something out. I asked him about a group deal price and he said If I could personally get 10 orders for him he would give us a group price. It took about 2 weeks to do but I made it happen and he gave me free shackles for my efforts.

Another vote for US Offroad. They were right down the street from me in Fort Worth. Though I wanted a full bumper, so I never made it by the shop. Everyone I talked to had very good things to say about them.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Good to know, you running beadlocks? Thinking about getting a set when these tires where out.

Yeah I didnt run the stocks long. X3s come with no ground clearance from the factory which really sucked. ITP Terrahooks look pretty nice for the price too.

Mine came with 30” carnivores, which seems like decent tire, but I don’t have a lot of experience with these. I am just now getting back into the SxS game. Owned a few…ride dirtbikes mainly, and crawl with yotas.
Had to pick up this Wolverine the other day! Got tired of my farm wagon in the mtns ;)

Carns are really good until they get like 70% wear and they just round over, but I wouldn't hesitate to leave those on.

Picked up the bike for a steal of a deal. Had 100miles on it. Only had seen light stuff at Windrock. This will be fun for where I am at above Ashville in the ridges up there. Sold my Mav awhile ago, was just to quick for the FSRs and ridge trails. Had to get another crawler of sorts. The Yamahas trans, diff and clutch intrigued me so I went for it. Lol, got tired of rolling around in the Ranger.

hey guys, so i tried for some help and not much response in the lighting thread.

    2008 Tacoma 4x4..

i bought some led turn signal bulbs for my new taillights after the snow and ice broke one. and wanted to get rid of the hyperflash without cutting wires with resistors. So I bought the led flasher relay from advance auto, and now when I lock or unlock the doors the the lights don't flash. everything worked before relay replacement, just had hyperflash.

Any suggestion on a Relay brand that should work? After pulling relay to look at brand and part# i found a lot of reviews that say this one takes away the flash on locking for a lot of toyota vehicles. Its not a big deal but it is nice since i dont have the alarm in my truck and would be nice to see that the doors locked when button is pressed.

the one i have is the Novita LM449 LED/2-4lamps. only one advance had.
