Most of the computer, including half of Teams, switched automatically. I’ll try rebooting later.

I bet fpv helps a ton, especially goggles. Good editing too.

lol, I've missed a nonzero number of meetings due to Outlook timezones

I've seen pictures of a headset that holds a cell phone for operating a phone-controlled drone. It keeps the glare out. Looks like someone playing with a virtual reality game. Glare from the sun is a problem trying to use a phone.

yep. They make headsets specifically for fpv flying as well. I want to build one of the Tiny Whoop drones for that, would be a ton of fun for flying practice.

Funny you say that because last night, I found pics of 33s (a few 35s, and 1 37) on Mud looking at tire sizes at stock height.

Further reinforces keeping it stock height!

Shitty thing is, those Dobinsons rear coils are backordered until end of Feb :pout:

Trust Mike to fulfill your order. I ordered in Dec of 2020 and got the coils in April of 2021, they come over from Aussie land in shipments.

No worries about trusting him; I'll just be on clapped coils for awhile

    Damn shipping is $100

    Be ordering later today.

Those look like fun. One of my kids has a DJI Mini that he wanted me to buy from him. I know people that use both for the application. Getting the Skydio setup and paired up for flying is more work than I thought it would be. Maybe I should just be using the controller. We've been flying it in relatively close space.

We can tell the obstacle avoidance does work as it kept it out of a tree and from crashing into the house. The real use for that drone is to use it with the tracking beacon to follow a one-wheel, bicycle, motorcycle, or truck when off-roading. Obstacle avoidance always takes priority over the requested operations. Maybe to keep a new flyer from crashing.

I might try to get the Mini and use it for quick shots. There are three different paddle setting modes for the Skydio drone. I suspect Skydio and DJI will default to stick movements that are way different. if you get your right hand trained for operating one type you'll need to readjust to another.

I had a DJI Phantom Pro for a little while, fascinating to fly but really didn't hold my attention for very long and I had no desire to bring one out while wheeling.

That happened near my old house. In the 4 years~ I was there they developed 100acres ~ of open space into row homes and apartments. I hated it and the additional traffic which even made grocery shopping a chore but guess it helped my property value :notsure:

I get mad enough when everyone else in the group stops to take pictures every 45 fucking seconds. One of these days I will have some sort of aneurysm from people stopping in the middle of the trail to take a goddamn picture.

I hear that, it is definitely an annoyance.

I kind of had a realization about that outdoors stuff. If I'm doing it for me, why the fuck do I need 100 pictures? Maybe I'll take one at the top or when I stop to eat or whatever. If I don't? that's cool too. Who actually gives a chit about another blurry hike photo?
