Wife's got a pot of Chilli simmering. Looks done enough to eat but stir and simmer a bit longer.
I wonder what it will be like taste wise...she never uses a recipe so sometimes it might be outta this world, other times...well, I'll just say it's never so bad I can't choke it down.

 

My grandmother would make fried mush, I’d eat a plate full!

 

Chili is like sex.

There is never bad chili. Just some chili is better than other chili.

 

I used to know a guy that put peanut butter in a his chili. Could have been the best chili ever made and he'd still put peanut butter in it.

 

No nothing scrapple but then it seems every family has there own top secret formula for making scrapple.

For the most scrapple was at least 75% pork .

I guess in a general way you could compare the two they can both be eaten.

 

I can only hope She was a better Cook then mine!

I knew a guy that would eat peanut butter and mayo sandwich...

 

In my youth I think quite a few got if you don`t eat this you sit here to you do.

I can relate perhaps he did not like Chili ( I did not eat it as a kid) but was forced to eat it The only way he could was by putting the peanut butter on.

Then it becomes a habit.

As a kid i hated Cooked carrots raw where fine I put Catsup on the cooked carrots makes them taste much better.

I still do today talk about strange looks

 

Okay, that's just plain sinful. Ruining a perfectly good cuppa coffee!!!

I've eaten a peanut butter and butter sandwich before. I dunno about mayo.

He learned the habit from spending 12 years in the Big House.

 

I'm not for sure, really, how to take that comment given the context...
