    That looks great.

Your quote at the bottom of your posts “If you find yourself in a fair fight then your tactics suck” is so true.

Left it with the dealer overnight... damnit. Getting audio installed. The loaner tacoma drives nice though... but someone clearly sneezed all over the inside of the window. So, not my 3rd gen, but I disinfected an interior today... Gloves, mask, the whole nine yards. Not even a pandemic related thing - I just thought it was gross and required a hazmat cleaning before I drove it because I'm a germaphobe I guess :annoyed: I thought the stains were on the outside of the window at first... nope. Shoulda made them clean it, I just don't like conflict like that and after a two hour drive there, I was hangry. Drove straight to the car wash.

What are those tabs you are using to mount the recovery boards? Are they the MaxTrax ones?

Is that a wide angle pic? lol

Yes, I have 3/4" spacers on each corner to provide standoff and than used a cutoff wheel to remove about 1/2" of Max Trax mount stud.

Definitely should've made them clean it. That's disgusting. Somebody drove that and decided it was ok to leave it there. I think I would've parked it right up front and walked in like this:

Unfortunatley I didn't notice it until half way down the road. It was cloudy and dark, and there was still frost on everything. So when I was already driving the sun managed to shine through and I hit the windshield washers and it didn't come off, lol. That's when the overwhelming sense of "blughhhh" grossness hit me. The car wash has free wipes, towels and "blue stuff" (cleaner) and you are supposed to go through the wash first, but I broke the rules, lol. Quick vacuum and clean. Now if I mention it after the fact they are going to think I'm the sneezer, lol. whatever... I took a bleach bath when I got home ;)

Back in my car dealer days we'd buy a lot of lease returns at auction and repair them as needed before turning them into CPO's on the used car lot. One that never left my mind came in with...lets just say "projected dried oatmeal" all over the dash and steering wheel. I can only imagine what kind of car sick the person experienced that ultimately led them to trade that vehicle in without even bothering to clean it. When that car was sold it still had remanence of "oatmeal" in the steering wheel emblem. :puke::itllbuffout:

They must of made a updated (“hd”) version once the oem came out. i originally bought the one with spades and vampire clips included, for a Tacoma, then oem came out before I installed it so I sold that one and bought/installed oem. At least they refined it a bit but honestly I’d still go with oem (it’s actually 10$ more after looking).

Finally got around to get my TRD skid plate installed today. But Lord Jesus, them 17 mm bolts were not willing to go out willingly .

Seriously, those bolts had not probably been touched since truck was built in 2016. A little WD-40 and breaker bar got them out.

One thing I did do was take out the red TRD letters and replaced them with blazing blue pearl ones from @TUFSKINZ. Look black in the sun, but they're blue.

(And in case anyone is wondering, the red cooler was used to balance the skid plate. Damned thing is heavy. But when there is a redneck will, there is a redneck way.)

I wonder if that makes it automatically engage with every driver door function. Whereas tie into the passenger side and it is user adjustable in the settings (passenger doors Open as single press or double).

Thanks bro for thinking about me… feeling some kinda special

funny thing I found that thread and already placed my order, quick too because it’s already in transit for a hopeful Friday delivery. Black/black wide adj. this was what I was after when I requested something less bulky/flashy- especially since it’s still the stock size 24 I replaced.

I had to pay about 3K. A lawyer would have sued them to cover his fees to represent me and get as much in my pocket for the pain and suffering of the accident including the recovered cost of my totaled vehicle. Accident Lawyers normally don't charge the victim if they lose the case. This is why they represent cases for free because they will try to sue the insurance companies a hell of a lot in order to get their cut of the settlement.
