You have a TIG welder? Would be super easy with a little tungsten in there. Wouldn't want to try to finesse it with .035 wire feed or 3/32 7018 rod at all ha.

That's cool! My son has been taking a welding class, may have to see if he can make one as a project for class

Saw something similar that inspired my helmet holder:

The “hook” under the helmet also holds my riding jacket and shop apron. I wanted to make a bunch of these to display my helmet collection but the medical school grade skull models get expensive if I have to buy a bunch.

I saw some of those with the black iron pipe fixtures, those are rad too. I like the idea of using something rounded so it doesn't leave an imprint in the foam.

I scored a free shelving system from work (yay surplus) so I was reorganizing a wall of my garage and stumbled upon a almost ladder-holder-like hook and a pool noodle. That might have to do for now until my next chain change

That was my thinking in using the skull. My metal supply shop sells these half spheres that I might use for the rest of the helmets. Just weld them to some round stock in the same shape and hang everything up.

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
I went the easy route though and welded the backside since I didn't need both sides to look pretty.

Still one of my favorite pieces of art/gifts I have made for my son. Was my old chain that came off my old F4I that got stolen back in the day.

Doable but I would say much harder than probably TIG on the inside of the links. I have the desire to make this at some point but with bike chain.

Stopped by Honda today. Started out when I put my deposit as end of January. Went in before Christmas and it moved up to early January. Now they have no idea, system doesn't even give them a date anymore :pout:

There’s a Grom available in Aberdeen, SD. I told the guy no thanks when it finally came in.
