02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.
When I tore down my junk yard fj60 front axle i used a mapp gas torch and a brass drift. Heat then up until glowing a bit and hit them with the drift and they popped out. Use anti seize when you reinstall them and they pop right out with a light tap the next time you have to take it apart.

Fj80 rear cone washers are easy, just thread the bolt in the hole in the axle flange and hit it with an impact.

that's crazy about the Rav4s.... I've heard of used car lots refusing to take cash cause they want to sell to people that need their crazy financing plan. But seems odd for a Toyota dealer to turn down full cash

    I have mods
Now you just need to 6 speed swap it to get rid of the CVT!

Joking aside, the CVT on those is supposed to be pretty decent. And regardless of what they say, it IS serviceable! Check out this guy on youtube, he knows his Subie stuff - https://www.youtube.com/c/MrSubaru1387

Wild West out there right now.
There's a dealer up the road with thousands added for "market adjustment" on top of above MSRP, and one five miles away with no adjustment at all. Car shopping is a bit of a headache now.
Our local Subaru dealer where my mom takes hers is great, no bullshit, no markups. Also stock only sticks around a few days but hey.

You just buy it with their financing then pay it off with the cash when the 1st bill comes. Same as cash.

I think it looks good actually but those rigs with the bigger tires fill out that empty space more. With smaller tires it might look kinda weird unless it's built out a little more

A buddy of mine was told by a used lot "if you're paying cash, we're not the dealer for you."

It was a super skeezy lot that was really selling predatory loans, they just happened to have the very specific 2005 Outback XT Limited 5mt in red that he's looking for.

Yup, those places advertise to people with bad credit so they have to come to them and use their financing. They don't want your clean money lol

Some loans come with an early payoff penalty. If you pay off the loan before the original term, you might have to pay an extra 20% fee (I made up that number, but it's probably not unrealistic).

So the best you can do might be to pay off most of the loan and then mail them $1 in pennies every month for a few years.

You probably won't have that issue with a legitimate dealership, but almost certainly will with the shady predatory ones.

So I got back from my trip to Costa Rica a few days ago. Figured I'd post a couple pics of the adventure.

Week 1 was spent with the family on a beach house with this kinda of view.

Week 2 was spent with a company called Costa Rica Unlimited. We were given KTM 350s and GasGas's to ride for a week.

Their compound was amazing with infinity pool, and the 10 of us has the entire compound to ourselves.

The riding was amazing, not just for the views, but was some of the hardest trail riding I've done in my life. They kicked our asses 3 ways from Sunday and I enjoyed every minute of it!

And did I mention hidden jungle waterfalls?

Depending on the loan details and what state you're in, it actually not even legal. If you finance for over 5 years, they can't charge pre-payment penalties at all (fed law).

That's why I've always gotten pre-approved from my credit union before going in to the dealer. Sometimes the dealer can beat the terms, but I'd always have the fall back of my credit union's loan, which are always far better than these predatory loan services, especially in terms of pre-payments.
