Custom 4x4 double cab with frame modifications to lower it on air suspension. C-4 corvette front suspension. 4 linked rear with notch.
So I’ll make this short and sweet. I had a 2002 3.4 auto 4x4 truck. I technically turned it into a pre runner, so the same 3.4 with an auto 2x4 trans. I keep having a problem where once I drive it,it won’t start back up. It’s throwing p1135 code which is the bank 1 sensor 1 a/f sensor. That and the sensor two are both brand new in the truck. I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s going on.
I’m wondering if I need to swap to a 2x4 ecm? Thanks in advance for any tips0F977481-3699-4402-A58A-39F23396BBC1.jpg

I don’t know hahaha just wondering if since now it doesn’t have a transfer case, if the computer is not working like it should.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along

That code should not keep the truck from starting.

How do you get it started after it quits?

Do you mean Cranks but does not start ?

Does not Crank?Intermittent connection at the neutral safety switch?

Did you change transmissions or just remove the transfer case?

You have something else going on

Have you checked the wiring to the sensor?

It won’t crank at all, almost like once it’s warmed up it doesn’t even try. Then after awhile it will crank right over and start.
It is a new transmission from a 2x4 tacoma same year. So I just have the transfer plugs just zip tied.

I would look real close at the neutral safety switch plug.

things might get hot enough the connection is broken.

    heat related for sure.

It does not hurt to double check the starter and battery terminal connections

Then it might just be a random problem unrelated to anything you did >

    Good luck!

I originally had the battery relocated in the bed, but I thought that might of been adding to the problem. So I put it back under the hood today. So all that’s tightened down hood and the starter is newer and tested good. I appreciate the replies, feel like I’m loosing my mind. Might have to grab a new nss.

I think the 6-lug mini double cab is cool. But with that giant hood, they better be putting some turbos in there.

If it makes ya feel better the stock truck got totaled by hitting a semi! So I saved it from the yard.

Even with the hood I made there isn’t really any room for the snails. I’m sure I could jam them in there but it would be difficult 873212B5-E9D1-474D-A8B1-20864552B63A.jpg

Check out the CXRacing kit. I think it works with stock hoods, so you have room!

I had to raise the motor up to make room for the steering and to clear the flipped off-road oil pan. That’s the only reason I made the hood. It nearly hit the hood when it was stock. The truck is corvette front suspension in the front.

Thanks it is definitely different out here in Colorado. So far people seem to think it’s pretty cool, in a land of lifted trucks as far as the eye can see.

It starts, once warm if I turn it off it won’t crank at all. Like other have said it feels like it might be something in the nss. When I turn the key I get absolutely nothing.
I’m wondering if I just need to grab a new nss. Looking online tho it looks like the 2x4 and the 4x4 nss differ in the plug. Can anyone confirm this? I put the off my 4x4 on the trans that’s on it.
Not that I’m typing this I’m wondering if I need the 2x4 one and to rewire the right plug for it.

this nss is what came on the 2x44B17C22A-E140-4DE0-823D-0F9C7EEBD0FD.jpg

and this is the one that came from my 4x4 so the plug that’s on my truck59D790AC-D61D-43A3-9386-20D638B57BB3.jpgboth of those are listed as auto transmission on rock auto for 2002 tacoma
