I don't know much about the process of alignment myself, I only say that because I've seen the alignment gurus say that you should always get an alignment when you change tire size, I presume because it changes the geometry. Hopefully someone who knows alignment well will chime in. I'd like to know more myself.

This was honestly probably the most helpful thing I’ve read- thank you!!! This makes me 100% more comfortable honestly.

now it’s just time to pick out some tires and (appropriate) wheels!

I REALLY like the stock black SR5 wheels that some tacomas come with. I was thinking of grabbing a set of those when I can find some and throwing tires on but at the same time, might just be better to get some other wheels. Still up in the air on that.

but this response really helped me so thanks again! Hoping to have some updated pics after I pull the trigger on something!

Glad to help, and would love to see pics whichever way you go.

265/75/R16s KO2s on 16x8 Method 315s with 0" offset. Suspension: Lifted about 2" with Bilstein 8112s/5160s and Camburg UCAs with 3 leaf pack in the rear... Needed some minor trimming on the back of the front fender wells when off-roading only.

No rubbing at all? I love the way the black wheels look and honestly thinking about buying them to replace my silver wheels. These look amazing!

no spacers or anything right? Just want to make sure!

Not one bit - it's bone stock except for the tires. Not even a problem with the mud flaps. Full wheel lock left or right and it's all good.

Wow this is great info! I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this (wasn’t sure how the stock wheels would do) but this just reassured me! Looks sick BTW! I think you just inspired me to do it.

did you get an alignment done after instal? I’ve heard an alignment is the key. Some people say this exact setup rubs on theirs so I’m wondering if they didn’t get a proper alignment done.

It should be noted that the OP requested pictures of 265/75/R16s with Omm offset.

Stock TRD Pro Tacoma wheels are 16x7 with a +13mm offset
Stock TRD Tacoma OR wheels are 16x7 with a +25mm offset
Stock TRD Dark Anthracite are also 16x7 with a +25 offset

All the wheels with a stock offset of +13mm should not rub, the issue is as the wheel/tire combination move outward towards the outside of the fender well with a 0mm offset or a -5 offset, then rubbing becomes an issue.

I drove the truck home from the dealer and the next day went to Discount Tire and had the Wildpeaks put on. No alignment needed.
Have a little over 8,000 on it now and rotated at 5,000. No wear issues, zero vibration.
I think getting a good mount & balance on this size of tire (and larger) and paying attention to your tire pressure makes a positive difference.
Can't say as to what other's experience has been but I've been very happy with this set-up.

Are you running any lift or stock suspension?

I think it is +25. That is why I’m also wondering this. I went to a 0 offset rim but stayed with the 265/70 r16 Cooper Rugged treks. Absolutely no issue in that size, but I too would like to go up to the 265/75 r16. I don’t want to rub because I will be off reading with it. I do love the look of the 0 offset.B61B0C4C-EC2C-4D26-8DC6-9C27D61FAEDB.jpg

I’ve always heard the 265/75 R16 wouldn’t cause an issue on stock wheels. I am glad that the 0 offset did not change that. I love the look of the 0 offset.

Where exactly does it rub? I am wanting to get 16x8 0mm offset wheels and LT265/75R16 (Load E) tires and so I'm looking into potential rubbing issues. I did the "viper cut" so I do have extra clearance at the bottom of the front fender well/liner.
