Kimo hears me open my safe from the opposite end of the house, I mean I just touch the dial and it's safe time. No room in there for fat bastid, but he thinks it's a cave or something.

Yup, he was sniffing around it last night, thats why I opened it since he has never done that before, as soon as I opened it he went in there. So I left the door open for him to see what he would do, when I heard him put the claws to the carpet on the walls is when I told him to GTFO.

Thats mine during the day....ALL day. We let him out just before we go to bed, he will either go out and come in, in the morning after hunting all night or if its cold a drizzling like it has been the last 2 days then he stays in and continues sleeping on Tina and I while we are sleeping.

Just a word of warning concerning gun safes. A couple years our bratty curious little shit Copper got locked in my gun safe unbeknownst to me. I had the safe door open for awhile and was in and out of the room where the safe is. When I shut the safe door he was in it. I just didn’t notice him. About a hour later when I filled his bowl with his favorite wet food he wasn’t around. Every day when it’s wet food time he’s right there head bonking me, he can’t wait. We looked in every inch of the house for him. He’s an indoor only cat but has been known to sneak out. We started thinking somehow he got out. Searched everywhere, no Copper. After 2 hours I don’t know what made me do this but I went and opened the safe. There he was just sitting there looking at me.
The thing is I don’t open my safe sometimes for weeks. If I hadn’t checked the safe he may have died from starvation or possibly lack of oxygen. So my point is be extra cautious when you shut up your safe . Always, always check to see if Mr. or Ms shithead kitty has wondered into it. I would have been devastated if he had died in the safe.

Yikes, usually they are air gaps in safes, but dont actually seal up till the heat swells the seals. Or at least thats what they told me on mine. I have not tested the theory...nor do i want to

Pretty sure my cats would think they are starving to death in 17 minutes or so.

@Rackumrack How old is Kimber? Reminds me of a young version of my Gromit. Aside from the dark tail, he started out looking a lot like her and the foster parents said that he would be real dark as an adult. At that time he had no stripe formations on his face or anywhere else. My wife and I were thinking WTF is he talking about, DARK?"

This is him on the right (brother Wallace on left) long after his adult transformation....

He was totally cream white till about 7 months old when he started transforming.

See was 6 months old on the 22nd. She has gotten darker over the last two months, mainly on her back. Beautiful cats you have!

Yyyep! That's it! It's amazing their transformation. I think they're referred to as 'Lilac Point'. The stripes above Grom's eyes are literally black and they fade to a deep brown which continues the length of his body until you get to the tail and does the opposite, going from the dark brown to a pure black band on his tail like a racoon. His belly and chin is still cream colored but starts his spots and stripes. Both he a Wally have pretty cool coats. Gromit is nearly a carbon copy pattern-wise but just a sepia tone version of his brother. I get lost studying their patterns and the individual hair colorations. Natural camouflage is a mind bender!
