I love how Every Toyota center I've pulled consists of 4 screws and a few tugs

Your dash is a bit different than mine (*cough* not as pretty *cough*), mine is harder to take apart since it extends over the steering column

What's nice is that the climate control/center panel is still available new, so I'll be ordering one soon.

Only after I've taken this apart and fixed the wiring.

So far, fading RIGHT gives me rear sound. Fading FRONT or REAR does not change things.

Fading LEFT gives me right front sound.

These speakers are wired fucked up.

Also, I must have a subwoofer in the back somewhere as one was disabled in the stereo option. It wasn't until I grounded the E brake cable now that I was able to pair my phone. It was left unattached to anything.

That and I've got a damn bolt to remove

    20220127_082201.jpg

    Must've lost the factory screws.

    That looks goooood.

Hoping with the center console and shifter panel, I'll have less dash parts to replace to bring new life to the interior.

Off to storage since my sockets are in there; 5 mins away.

    Fuck me

Aftermarket stereo harness in my left hand, and the two factory harneses to the right.

    20220127_084545.jpg

They just spliced into them for power/ground/illumination it seems and that's only because I recognize the cables on the Pioneer harness end.

There are two sets of RCA cables; one for the subwoofer (which I disconnected from the sub output) and the second I assume is for the factory amp? Thinking somewhere along the lines they tapped into the factory wiring and ran RCA plugs or used some kind of line converter.

i understand that, any time i post something I think is a deal and will move quickly I usually regret it when my phone won't stop blowing up from thirsty people who get angry with me

I posted that 92 yota pickup at like 10pm on a friday and my phone blew up all night and the first guy who could show up at 7am sat bought it. Same with that 85 4runner. Wish I would have kept both but :notsure: didn't know any better at the time

It's neater than most. Minimal black electrical tape. Could have been worse.

@Speedytech7 how familiar are you with the AC system attached to the 3rz? When the clutch engages (when defrost kicks on) it lugs the engine down so bad now the dash starts to vibrate... think it's the clutch bearings? Or possible entire compressor?

Is there particular testing I can do?

It was a 4DR white tundra with a 98k motor, original blew up cause it was boosted I guess. Ugly move bumper.

it was a kid from vernal so I’m sure it’s beat
