I here ya! There is no way in hell I would be able to afford college if it weren't for the tuition remission. There is also no way in hell I would be getting student loans... They bend you over and tear you a new hole with those things. Sucks how expensive college is these days. Dont even get me started on books.... I wonder how expensive it will be when my kids end up going....

Tuition for me was half off plus books, because my step-mom is a professor. Not a bad price for an IU degree. Plus I went to a regional campus and it was even cheaper.

I agree with 500 and Neil, the worst thing they can say is no. It never hurts to ask.

lol hell $140 is cheap for some of my books and have had a few times they didn't even buy them back!!!!! I have learned to use Amazon, hell of a lot cheaper and chegg.com. Rent the books! Saved 150 renting them for a quarter once.
 It will be ok Kate... the sooner you just admit... the east side is better.... all the frustration will be gone... :p:laugh:

Im 24, and my dad passed when I was 16. I still live at home though, since Im in school currently.

But at Sinclair, college up here in Dayton, Ohio. I tried filing for that. My mother was unemployed at the time,(laid off from Reynolds and Reynolds of 16 years about 2 months prior to me filing for this) so figured that would help my situation. But Sinclair took her income from the year BEFORE she got laid off. So she "made too much" for me to get any kind of grants, could only get loans.

So thats my take on that.

Cable and the Intergoogle were the only things to go out at our hizzy. Heard about a lot of other power outages, another shop, my parents.

Daugher had her 3rd birthday over the weekend.

Got some stuff on the truck done. Oil change, tire rotate, Tranny fluid change, diff fluid change. One of my center caps fell off during a left hand turn. Got driven over.

Ouch that sucks, I'm always nervouse about getting my tires rotated b/c of that exact reason. I always wonder if the put it back on correctly.

I think the moderators randomly select a newly posted picture and use it as the banner. I guess they have to like what they see to be on the banner so hopefully we can get some really good pictures for them to (hopefully) select. Eric about a year ago had his truck on the banner! Not going to lie I was a little jealous!

Just got news that my step-mom just bought this instead of trading in the Caddy. Its in AZ and we aren't sure when we will be getting it shipped. It only has 40k on it and is in perfect condition. Found it online at a vintage Landcruiser site. I cannot wait to see it :)

one of mine disappeared on the way home after a servicing, it took about a month but i found one on ebay shipped for $15. It was used but you couldn't tell. It was better than the $50 the dealership wanted.
