I've had more credit card issues than I have had debit card issues. I've been with both companies for over 20 years so that helps with any that do pop up. I use both equally but I'm also probably missing out on return monies by using my debit more. I'm not too worried about it though. The way I spend money I could care less in the long run.

Same here... but I never use debit so... :D

I've only had three* instance of credit fraud in twenty-odd years, and none were troublesome to deal with.

One of my credit cards offers virtual account numbers allowing me to set the expiration month and also set a max daily $$ limit. Useful for teaser-rate subscriptions that start at one price then go to a higher price in 6 or 12 months. Set the virtual card # expiration in two months and I'm good even if something happens to the calendar reminder I set.

    *that I remember

    Ummm...

Rings of Time Hourglass Walnut Keepsake Urn

The Rings of Time Hourglass Walnut Keepsake Urns hold a small amount of ashes as a loving timeless memorial. A wonderful way to reflect on the sands of time and the time that you and your loved one shared.

Hourglass urns for ashes are made differently than a regular hourglass timers. The Rings of Time Hourglass Keepsake Urn is a cremation keepsake and holds a small portion of cremains. They cannot be an exactly timed, due to the consistency of the cremains. However, they are a memorial like no other. The hourglass is the ultimate symbol of the passage of time, and will become an family heirloom, passed down for generations.

I went on vacation once and my bank notified me that there were several out of state charges. They are pretty security conscious.

Yep. And they watch patterns even within your usual area.

I've had a card declined while in a store making a purchase, then alerted from the issuer asking if it was me doing the charge. I responded that I was and had the clerk re-run the card. I was buying a gift worth a fair bit so it was well out of my usual pattern.

A couple of my cards now have features on their website to tell them of a planned trip or planned major purchase. I use that as appropriate.

I was traveling for work once and realized when I got to the airport that I had forgotten my needed iPad tablet.

So, I bought a new iPad at the Best Buy kiosk in the airport.

I got to my destination and on my way to the hotel noticed a Wally World so I thought I would stop in there and check around.

Whoa! They had a nice Android tablet on sale that would also work so I bought it.

Upon leaving WW I saw a Best Buy across the street and stopped in there.

Double Whoa! They had a Galaxy Tab on clearance so of course I had to get it.

    Card Declined!

Called the bank and they had blocked my card because someone was buying a lot of tablets in different parts of the country

BTW, I got the Galaxy Tab and returned the others :D

You've only had 3 cases of fraud? I've lost track how many I've had, easily 10. I even had a card that had never been used compromised. It was a corporate card given to every employee of a certain level that I never even activated. One day I get a call from Purchasing asking if I'd bought luggage in Florida. (don't live anywhere near Florida, look at my avatar ) Given my experiences I keep 2 cards on different institutions so the fraud just causes a minor inconvenience. There is no way in hell that I will ever have a debit card, none.

My ex has Bank of America. Someone stole her bank card info. The only reason why BoA informed her of the fraudulent transactions, which were happening simultaneously across the country, is because she didn't have the funds to cover them.

I have BofA, they will front me whatever I'm missing and not charge me for it. They've been good to me and I can't complain.

I lost faith in Bank of America when they let someone, other than me, request a new card and then mailed it to Fayetteville Mall. I dropped them when they refused to accept a $18k deposit from the VA.

“Ford CEO Says Heated Seat Subscriptions Unlikely
You probably won't have to subscribe for heated seats in your Ford, but that doesn't mean all subscriptions are off the table.
BMW has been catching flak lately for its plan to charge a subscription fee for heated seats in some of its new vehicles. The idea, as far as the automaker is concerned, is that you pay for them when you need them, and you don't pay for them when the weather gets warmer. This is, of course, a page right out of Tesla's strategy of making its customers pay extra to get the full capability of the onboard hardware. Not everybody is down with implementing subscription services in this manner, however. Ford's CEO for instance, has recently implied he's not too fond of it.”

I would love to know where this Fayetteville Mall is you're speaking of, just out of pure curiosity.
