I have an iphone but my PCs and laptops are all Windows, for engineering work etc. I’ve heard Macs are popular with school kids, artists, painting flowers etc.

Yes that too. I’ve always been a gamer on Xbox so my wife laughed when I was so against PCs when my console literally comes from Microsoft. But now I started downloading games on PC and man is it insane. And now I’m trash at Xbox I can’t even hold a controller.

 

My GF is a graphic designer by profession and still prefers her badass windows rig to her mac pro

That being said, Mac makes some bitching true color monitors if you can afford them

If work wasn't paying for it I wouldn't have an iPhone.

My gripe isn't with a lot of other stuff it comes down to how shenanigans they were when the EU put a rule in place for all phones to use micro (mini?) USB as standard for charging because everyone had their own sheananifans and it was puking up E waste everywhere. Instead of saying "oh yes we also have a responsibility to take care of the world and not contribute to E waste" apple said "but muh charger profitz".

Everything comes off the same assembly lines and runs Qantas (I think it was that but that might be an airline....).

When it comes down to it I don't care really. Either I'm paying the corporate giant or paying another corporate giant. What the hell do I care. And as much as I rag on Apple for their e waste shenanigans I'm sure the other companies (and Google running the Android ecosystem) aren't peaches and daisies either.

For me, apple isn't worth it.
