Hope this helps. I’ve found these settings work best for me fishing freshwater down to 150’ deep. I don’t know if all the menus or settings will carry over to your models though.

@Maint1 What transducer are you running on the Hook? Is it dual frequency?

I can't answer which one but it is dual freq. The hook reveal we are running off the built in minn kota transducer up front. The hook 7 is also dual freq. ran off a lowrance transducer in the back of the boat. I had set them to different frees., to reduce interference, from what I was told to do. We're still learning the set ups so we can stop using them as depth finders only. Thanks for the pics.

So if you're jigging and are looking to see it at that depth, try and select the low frequency for the bow through the Minn Kota Xdcr. For deep water, low freq is what you need to carry a good signal and return although technically, 90' isn't that deep but you're looking for fine detail. You should be able to see your line as well as the jig. I run an Ultrex on my Bass Boat but run Garmin electronics exclusively. I did run through the Minn Kota xdcr for a while with the conversion cable but then I upgraded to Downscan/Sidescan imaging so I added on the xdcr to the bottom of the trolling motor.

You likely have already done this to some degree but set your freq and leave it and just make some minor adjustment on one facet of the adjustments so you can see how it effects the big picture. Little adjustments over time till you like what you see then move to another adjustable facet and repeat. It definitely takes time to get the hang of it but one good thing is once you do get it under wraps, you can usually carry the same tweaks to the next plotter or sounder you use.

Lastly, sometimes the "AUTO" settings are a good, simple choice. Also, check Lowrance's site for their support videos as well as others on Youtube. That can be really helpful to clear up stuff you might be confused on.

Thanks for taking the time to explain this info. We are looking at getting rid of the hook 7 and getting a Garmin with the good (56?) transducer. Dad is really getting into jigging in the winter for walleye. He got a live scope and he really likes it ONCE you find this fish. Thanks again!
