    Hi guys... hope you're all doing ok. Been a lot going on, tough week as per usual. Work, changes at work addressing us out, dog health issues, me issues. Good times. This too shall pass except the $300 vet bill.:annoyed:Negans skin issues getting bad, trying yo either put him on a strict food diet or I may approve a skin biopsy to see if he has an autoimmune disease. Not affordable decisions either way. Guess I better keep trying to get overtime if my body cam handle it:notsure: how are you all doing?

    True but he has gradually gotten worse over time so I would just like him to be more comfortable so I'm gonna try to figure it out til I'm almost broke lol. Just want him to not be so damn miserable. Eating himself alive.

    From what I understand diet is a biggie for dogs but there’s gotta be some kinda bath or somethin to give the poor poocher some relief. I remember linseed oil but that was for cows.

    I have medicated stuff they gave me awhile ago that she says I should use more often but she doesn't know how much it kicks our ass holding down a 113 lb. Dog that doesn't like baths!:laugh:

    He has a nose issue that doesn't add up to skin allergies but points more towards autoimmune which I've researched about when he first started getting the extreme dry nose so I already knew it was a possibility before she said it tonight...

    Also the damn prescription she wrote for dog food is all over $100 for a bag, plus I'd have to get some canned and hopefully thru have some kind of treats as well...so $200ish for food too. Ugh.

    Have you tried salt water? A vet told my friend to bring her dog to a beach with salt water. Whatever was causing the skin irritation, dry up/cleared up by the salt water. They have to do the salt wash for a month or two but it work.

    Our GS has the same autoimmune/ allergy issues . Anal glands constantly leaking . Disgusting . He is on anti biotics now for a couple months and a steroid. Once the anti biotic is gone within 3 days his ass starts smelling again . Constantly cleaning around his ass … fun times . Other than that he’s fine :notsure:
