That’s like 2 days with the Grom. Less than 6 gallons to get there though

I always joked with people when i had my Yamaha C3. That thing got like 150 mpg. So i would say i get gas once a month, and for less than $5.

Id still get another scooter. Maybe a Metropolitan. Who cares if the only people who drive them have a suspended license  the mpg gains are :smokertransformer:

After serval iterations I finally have a quick release bracket finalized for the scooter. For now I’m testing with a laptop bag, but this is a perfect platform for me to attach any bag or case without having to buy or modify hardware for each “bag”.

This is the third style of mount that I made. The first was a traditional panier style frame, the second was a molle style panel but ultimately this style (inspired by a quick release fire extinguisher mount) ended up being the easiest and sturdiest.

After some finessing on the bracket to lighten it visually and literally.

and finally some texture matching with a wrinkle finish.

This is still in a testing phase and I may try to minimize the bracket further as I get more miles with it.

Looks a lot better all painted and cleaned up. The wrinkle paint blends in with the struts really well.

Thanks Spencer! I might try adding one of my old pelican cases tomorrow.

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
Love it! Not sure if you are planning on it or not but a lanyard for the quick release pin on the bag side of the bracket will make life easier too.

These are the ones I grabbed and have held up well:

Can see a similar setup on my rack:

Thanks dude! I was going to use a paracord lanyard. I do the same thing when I build my tire carriers for the hitch pin to prevent unnecessary rattles. Those stianless ones would actually come in handy for some other projects I have though! Ordering some now.

Looks great. Nice welds! Only thing I would change is the mounting hardware. Rounded allen head bolts over hex head.

I was just using what I had on hand but it’s a grade 8 shoulder head bolt so it’s enough for now. If it bothers me later I’ll probably swap it out.
