Do I need a dual sport? Or will the Sporty make it?

The Sporty will make it. I don't think @FreshOldTaco has a dual sport

Agreed you'll be ok on that, @fatfurious2 rode that distance on the 48 I think.

I will take my Bolt up there if I don't get some type of luggage setup for the FZ. It gets windy after a while but not too bad.

Yeah it's up there about 200 miles from you one way... which is comparable to York then back in a day. But if not staying the night that's a different story lol

Just got back from one of the more epic motorcycle adventures I've done in my life.

Went down to Costa Rica with a group of friends and rode dirtbikes for a week.

Freakin epic. Costa Rica Unlimited showed us a great time. I've never been so happy to get my ass kicked on some of the hardest trails I've ridden in my life. The last day they split the group, and I put on my big boy pants and rode all the hard lines.

If you ever get the chance, look them up:
    https://www.costaricaunlimited.com/

I rode a '21 exc350 the whole time, and I felt right at home since I own the '22 model. It gave me new found confidence in what my bike is capable of.

Before they kicked our asses on the "warm up" trail, we were all smiles

The fleet of ktm 300s, 350s and gasgas 300s

View from the infinity pool at their compound at sunrise:

They took us to some pretty cool out of the way spots in the middle of the jungle.

Anyhoo, freakin epic, highly suggest it if you can make it happen.
