It runs like forever on the 12ah battery and has tons of power… oh and it’s quiet which is awesome if you are doing a lot of cutting. It’s done a lot of cutting in the last couple years

if I would have bought it first, I probably wouldn’t have bought my stihl

I wasnt sure Id get much use out of it. But I kept having a ton of situations where a blower would have been mildly useful, but not useful enough to get my lazy ass to pull down my corded blower from its spot, uncoil the extension cord, use it for 10-15 sec, and put it all away again.

Now, I can use it whenever I want, for whatever I want. For example, the fine power control actually makes it easier to use this to sweep out my garage than using a broom. And the fine power control actually lets me do it with less airborn dust than sweeping with a broom (weird). And it moves enough air to clear out dust from the garage by just pointing it out the open door!

It makes a better squeegy to get water of my cracked up garage slab than an actual squeegy.

I also use it to dry my car after a carwash.

I can watch paint dry with it! Right before my eyes!

    The uses are endless!!!!

See!!!!!! See what I mean!? 650CFM baby!!!

It’s the chainsaw that I returned. The battery simply wasn’t up to task. I imagine the blower would be a very different story!

oh. I got the big ass battery in with the thought of a future chainsaw. Reviews on the saw seem to be pretty solid as long as the batt is big enough

    I guess I should’ve bought a bigger battery!

These things are all about the batteries. I cant believe the price of a standalone battery though…milwaukee or e-go. It’s eye watering

Most of mine I got on bundle deals. You can get them quite a bit cheaper if you look around

This is another option to explore in this area tomorrow. It’s a bit further north than the usual stomping grounds, but if we end up going to cathedral woods, then we can keep going a bit further north to here.

    upload_2022-1-28_12-16-23.jpg

There are some really nice looking areas. Here, including some nice aspen and birch stands. We wont be able to go all the way around the, um…head of the penis, but most of these look to be open all year because I didnt see them on the date restricted lists on the map. Something to think about.

This pic was from a nice section

I was thinking of going through the usual areas and skipping the more rocky and steep areas. So, we might cover more ground than usual. Maybe we'll have to head west and buzz through some of those areas. There's also a few areas I've been through on my own that might be fun with the group. I might try to get to the park and ride a few minutes early and air down right away so we have more time to look at the map.

Sounds like we might bump into some cool people along the way tomorrow!

    A few reminders for tomorrow..

    -Shovel, if you have room

-warm clothes: be prepared to stand outside for awhile in case there's a recovery

    -snacks and water

    -whatever recovery gear you have

-get fuel somewhere close to the park and ride. I'm sure 1/2-3/4 tank will be fine. Just don't show up on 1/4 tank. I know everyone has been good about it so far, but just want to put it out there.

-this will be a unique trip. I've never been "snow-wheeling". Tire pressure will probably be as low as possible. We're more likely than usual to get stuck.

Thanks in advance to everyone who is coming! This will be fun and interesting for me! I hope everyone has fun!

With all this talk about chain saws I have a tree down at my property about and hour west. If anyone is interested in helping I can provide BEER and a warm bed for the night. Oh did mention I am on a lake. Just that’s what I am doing Sunday oh and ice fishing.

Same. Working on dinner and laundry. But, I think the most of us prefer to camp in our vehicles or tents. But, if you have the space, we should absolutely plan a camp out over at your joint in the near future.
