Beautiful!!!! I've been on this thread religiously as I await the arrival of my 2022 BR Sport M/T.

I'm one Friday away from posting its first pics! I also plan on doing some before and after photos. It's gonna be amazing!

Please do share! I hope to be on the same journey soon. I “made the mistake” of seeing a post about a 2023 model upgrade for the Tacoma, so as difficult as it may be, I might wait for the next model year.

The way the market is now, I would not be surprised if I traded this in for a 2023 Pro. I was just not willing to pay $7K markup for the 22 unicorn I found (Electric Lime with M/T). I sense I'm gonna fall in love with my 22 Sport, but I know it won't be my final one. I know without a doubt that my next Tacoma (which would be my fifth in a row) will no doubt be the Pro with M/T.

Thanks. I didn’t know about Tacoma world until about 6 months after I bought mine. I love
looking all the mods people do to their trucks. That’s why I posted the pic.

Wow fifth Tacoma. This is my first one. I didn’t know what I was missing. I don’t see myself getting anything else now.

    Two things.

One: you got to change your name to The Red One! ;)

Two: the cool thing about my first three Tacomas was that they were all different trims. My first one (I bought around 2005-ish and it was used maybe a couple of years old) was single cab and white. My next one, I bought in 2011 was a silver 2008 OR ACLB. I traded that one in 2017 for a Quicksand 2016 OR DCSB. That Taco was my favorite! And I totaled it on Dec 6, 2021. I was devastated. I LOVED that truck. :(

But, after the mourning period, I spent the next 6 weeks researching, then changing my mind twice to finally finding a BRAND NEW Tacoma with M/T! And honestly, the primary reason I changed my mind from those first two was price. How in the hell are used Tacomas thousands of dollars more than brand new ones?? It's a crazy time right now but really fortunate that I was able to change that yucky feeling after the wreck that was entirely my fault into something positive. The money I got from the insurance company was ridiculous! It was practically the same amount of the vehicle when I purchased it in 2017!

how do you remove it? Heat gun to peel off then clean it off with that Gunk Gone(?) whatever that name is! I sense that white pinstripe will be on mine when it arrives next week and I need that off because I AM blacking mine out.

It’s funny you mention my TW name. I chose it because I originally had a 2021 army green OR. It was totaled about 8 months after I bought it. That really sucked because I loved that color. I didn’t have the luxury to wait for another army green. (Insurance only pays for rental for so long. Then I paid for one more week.) In fact it was hard to find any Tacoma! The dealer told me they had a Barcelona Red OR coming in soon so I grabbed up. I think I may have actually made $ from the insurance payout. That’s including sales tax AND eibach lift kit I put in! Still let’s hope for accident free driving from now on.

Similar story here. I bought my last AG in late August 2021. Totaled the truck in late September. Replaced it with my 22 Barcelona Red. I however had the option to pick b/w the red and the green. The dealer had an allotment coming in Nov 2021 and I was given the choice for the exact same truck ORLB in the color of my choice (BR or AG). As much as I liked the AG, I actually picked the red because I just love the color and think it will keep up better in the long term. I also started seeing some other manufacturers coming up with similar green colors (like Nissan and Kia). I think we were both destined to buy our BReds. I must confess, my 21 Super White is still my QUEEN!

Looks nice! Was thinking of doing the same myself but it looks like there may be a slight chance of rain in the forecast for Tuesday. Now, a $10 upgrade would make your truck look extra nice! Some black emblem overlays.

You may be right. If the dealer had both BR and AG on the lot I’m not sure which one I would’ve picked. I’m happy with BR though. Every time I see it I think damn that’s a good looking truck.

    Exactly. Tough choice!

I fell into mine. A guy had ordered my truck, but it wasn't showing up. Over a month or two later the dealer gave up and found one on another lot and transferred it to them for him. Then the one he ordered showed up less than a week later.
The dealership was very keen on getting rid of it and lowered the price to practically their cost. My wife spotted it and we bought it that same night.
It wasn't my choice to get a BR, but I wasn't passing up getting a Tacoma for that price just because of the color of it. And my wife was quick to point out that one of my Marine Corps colors is scarlet red; that cinched it.
I have since grown to love the look of it. I get positive comments on it often, too.

Mine is an SR. Which of course means "Sexy Red"!

Y’all getting me excited by the minute! It’s literally days away of being delivered to the dealer. And I keep buying accessories, both big and small, that my one-bedroom apartment now looks like a Toyota parts retail shop. The latest accessory? Just bought red pro grill letters a moment ago. I’m outta control!!! Someone stop me!

I never remember to take pictures of my own truck off-road, but I got a nice poser shot yesterday for the thread.
