Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

diamond axle can make one with a ford 9" at least their website says they will. pretty sure they would do one with toyota outers.

 

Yeah the 60 is kinda meh IMO too.

 

Talked to them....sourcing axles are a big problem that they are trying to figure out.

they didn’t even know what computers were back when that truck was built.

 

Update to the needle bearings. The inner race had all the needles intact. Driver side couldn’t of been it. Im stumped, stumped the shop too. No damage to the gears. Who knows.

 

How does that double tri handle at speed? Genuinely curious. Our jeep is sloppy in the ass end with the double tri. But we also don’t have a sway bar either.

 

It’s very, very neutral and works well.

I’m switching up to standard trailing arms while I do my 9” because at this point the truck has snowballed completely out of control so might as well just go for it.

 

I don’t think there’s any other needle bearings in the front. That’s a mind fuck for sure.

 

I'm going with my theory of a missed pin when the old one came out. If you don't see any damage I say send it.

 

Yeah but then the case was opened for a regear two weeks ago. Let’s just say I missed them 100+k miles ago, I’ve changed fluid every 30k.

The shop would of found them if they indeed fell out when they did the master install kit.

If they were in the axle seal it could've taken time to work down, idk. I'm just spitballing here.

I’d have serious trust issues lol. Not even going to lie I would have tore every single thing apart. Hard parts on a magnet are a little unnerving.

 

Oh I wanted to. I guess I’ll find out this weekend. If it grenades that will give me the answer hahaha

 

Still got that needle? does it look mashed up or anything like it was sent through the diff?

 

Nah. I left it at the shop. The needles didn’t look chewed up or anything.
