It would have a choice of SB or BB. If it ever hit my shop guaranteed it wouldn’t leave the same. Amazing how changin’ engines alters the feel ‘n performance of the whole car.

And to think a friend bought a first generation Camaro wearing original faded paint, completely gone through big block and TH400 and paid $1,200.00 cash. Someone hurting for money. The interior needed redone. Time frame on that was 1986. He asked want to go for a ride? I said sure! I think it lay down 2 black strips of rubber for as long as he stayed in it....

I still can if I put my boot in the old F-250 -- 460 power!
She will really deliver the mail -- if you can afford the postage...

Early 90's model? I thought you mentioned before. A friend's father had one and I was thinking it was the same year as the first brand new truck I ever bought a 1993. Yes that 460 a runner for sure

1996 with the 8600 lb GVW suspension, built during the twilight of the low tech big block days.

She isn't fast like the modern trucks but always feels so capable whatever you ask her to do. On a good road rolling along at 70 with a full size truck on the trailer seems almost effortless.

My dad's got a '69 Camaro that's been sitting in his garage for the last 7 years with the interior pulled out......

It's pretty nice, he had the body work all done the same year he bought it, it had sat under a tarp for years so the paint was bad and the metal was pock marked. Family friend who runs a car restoration and modification place redid it. It was factory red with black but they had it redone in metal flake blue. Looks super nice, but then he got it home started to convert to power brakes then pulled the interior to reupholster and sound deaden and thats were it stayed.

They're all cool years 1967 first year production is the only year with wing windows. I like the first generation but my very favorite leans toward the 1970 model with split bumper.
Around the last hurrah for the higher HP cars, albeit a few snuck under the radar.

Yeah, pretty much all done by '75. Only savin' grace was the Turbo Regal but it just wasn't the same as a high compression BB.

The Firebird was the last of the big block cars, 1976 for the 455 Pontiac and 1979 for the 400 and also the Oldsmobile 403 which was actually a big small block.
