Sadie found a couple of drill chips yesterday at work and also “fixed” a wheel.

Hunter, I want to share something with you. I don’t know your situation and I don’t need to.

When our son was born he was the baby everyone hopes for, he slept all night, every night. All was well.

When our daughter was born, she would not sleep unless my wife was holding her. She did not want me to hold her. She was almost a year old before I could hold her and she wouldn’t cry.

My wife would take her to the couch and sleep so I could sleep, for close to a year. My wife was going through postpartum depression but I didn’t want to recognize it, or admit it. I wasn’t there for her like she needed me to be. It put a severe strain on our marriage.

Fast forward to now, our baby girl is 6, it happens fast. I tell you all that to tell you this, whatever you and your family are going through, hang in there and give the most support you can give to your wife and your daughter, even after working 12 hour days. It will be worth it and it will pass, fast.

I appreciate you putting that out there Shane. Fatherhood and the transition into it has been the most sobering experience of my life. Not sobering in an alcohol sense but just how priorities and people become more clear what needs to be in our lives.

My family and their happiness and their quality of life is all that matters to me right now. My personal hobbies, what my yard looks like, what my boss thinks of me- all that matters very little to me right now.

I got up at 11pm so I could work 8 this am and be home for breakfast with the fam. I'll catch up on sleep one day.

Naturally I can't seem to find it but I received a letter from Toyota that they have a fix for my vehicle. You can check the Toyota recall site, too:

Thanks. I ran my VIN and it popped up as an open recall. They didn’t mention it to me :annoyed:
