Grill swap question

I really like the look of the 16-20 SR5 grill as opposed to my 22, can I swap my grill out for the older style? I assume the fit would be the same, and would basically be a direct swap, but what about the radar, would my sensor mount to the older grill? Any issues I might run into?

 

There’s no sensor on a 16 so I know you can avoid those in your search

 

Also 17 has no senor.

 

The issue I see is that from what I understand, some later models, and i think this started in 2020, come with front mounted cameras behind the grill, so some of the aftermarket grills may or may not accommodate that. Now, if you are talking about getting an OEM Toyota grill, then you shouldn't have a problem as long as you specify in this case, since your truck is a 2022, getting a 2022 SR5 grill.

 

I already have the SR5 grill, I like the look of the older ones though. And my truck doesn’t have the front mounted camera.

 

Then get a 19 or 20 if it has the TSS
