My Ravin R15's scope has ranges to 100 yards. The farthest I have practiced with it is 50 yards.....cannot see the arrow fly at all!! I misjudged a shot 2 years ago hunting and likely shot a fair bit over 50 yards - complete miss into the ground in front of the buck. I would never have shot if I realized it was that far. Ravin's lighted nocks did not work at all for me on the buck I killed the next day. Won't waste any more money on them. The bow is rated between 425-450 FPS I think. Bought the complete setup used on eBay for $1100 I think - only been shot a few times by the seller.

    5 back surgeries
    rotator cuff surgery
    torn biceps muscle
    arthritis
    etc.

    I can still "archery" hunt!!

My only gripe is hunters that shoot past their ethical range but that applies for any weapon of choice.

Just don’t let using a crossbow be an excuse for practice. If your scope goes to 100 yards doesn’t mean it is an ethical shot.
