Title says it all. I bought a new 2022 Taco. I drove straight from the stealership to the shop and had it lowered 3 inches. I also bought some super light alloy rims and the smallest and lightest highway tire I could find. Now I’m getting around 30 mpg on the freeway. And it’s whisper quiet! What the hell?! I wanted a truck, not a Prius! Does anyone know the absolute smallest tire that can fit a Tacoma with major modifications? I would like to extend my cab mount and use a heat gun to see if I can pull some of the plastic farther into the wheel well, but I think it might rub the 26s that I currently have on there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Even if you have no idea what you’re talking about. Thanks.

Could you give us more information? Namely the trim. If you got an Offroad or Pro... you need to buy a chin strap immediately. The air dam is the easiest modification you can make.

I would have posted yesterday, but I spent the whole day researching the Magnuson Moss Act.

If you researched anything for any amount of time before posting then you're definitely doing it wrong so that was your first problem.

But speaking of Magnuson.... as the self-appointed expert in this thread... I bet this would solve all of your MPG issues: https://magnusonsuperchargers.com/products/01-19-35-005-bl

    Easy DIY.

A lot of 3rd gen owners would love to trade their 11mpg, noisy cabin, underpowered, and poorly made truck for this one...:spending:

Simple. Just take it off and throw it under the back seat when you go to the dealership for your oil changes.

Thanks, but I will be doing my own oil changes instead of letting the stealership touch my truck. I mean, how hard can it be to remove and install a new oil filter? Easy peasy.

I was going to order one of those, but they didn’t offer an extra chrome package.
