They do look nice, but you can always mod your truck a little to look like one too.

Agreed, my truck is about where I want it…I just can’t help but be jealous of that new truck feeling!

Agreed, but I still want them to recognize the mistake/maybe help others by alerting them.

Because the whole point of the lift and air dam delete is to improve approach, breakover, departure, and leaving the air dam on ruins approach angle and looks bad lol

Absolutely. I will do that as soon as I get home if I can't get the dealer to do it. Luckily it's simple.

    Lmao!

Update: mine got to port Friday/Saturday and should be here next week if all goes well. Dealer said it depends on how long it has to wait for a Transporter.

Then they put on ceramic tint, paint and seat protectant, and call me in!

Assuming Wednesday pickup, that’s less than a month from allocation to delivery. Not bad

A couple questions… does the trail edition come with a long bed option? Seems the SR5 does not come in manual transmission.

Why has toyota not jumped on the idea of a limited number special edition that couples some of the options that are otherwise not pair-able?

    Locking rear dif ✔️
    Manual transmission ✔️
    Long bed option✔️
    Magnunson from factory ✔️
    Led headlights/foglights✔️
    Special limited edition wheels✔️

limited to 5000 serial numbered vehicles.

They could even do this with a short cab short bed 2wd with a factory drop (hinting at the past)

I know this worked for the VW r32 and it sold like hotcakes.
Just in case someone at corporate is listening.

No LB option on the Trail. The only configuration it's offered in is DCSB Auto.

beautiful!!!! so, you waited roughly a month and a half from the time you ordered it until you received it, correct? Im in the same boat because I ordered my army green sport 4x4 last week and the dealer said its due to arrive at the end of february. after reading the forum it seems people have waited much longer so i was getting nervous that the dealer was just trying to pull a fast one on me and is going to try to keep putting me off. but if you got yours in roughly 6 weeks that makes me feel better

If people are getting their trucks sooner than 4+ months I would say the dealer they are dealing with has an unspoken for allocation that they attach a name to.

I put a deposit down in October, for the lunar rock TE, but that was with the understanding that delivery wouldn't be until this year. They actually originally told me March delivery date.

They also told me they did not have an allocation for the lunar rock TE, they were trying to either secure the order with Toyota or attempt to sweet talk another dealer into giving them their allocation.

I don't know how it ended up happening but they called me just after Thanksgiving having secured the allocation. Now with a delivery date of late January.

Latest update is sometime next week. But i suspect they will be rolling out of the factory with some regularity now that the model year is underway.

I would respectfully disagree with this.

Every 2 weeks, dealers are told what they will be receiving next, ie Allocation. The dealership can then match those trucks to prospective buyers. For instance, I sat through 2 allocation cycles before they received something that met my parameters, my soon to be delivered TE.

From allocation confirmation to delivery is wildly inconsistent. Completely based on trim level, automatic or manual, LB or SB, color, region...that's why it's so hard to compare apples to apples.

For me, allocated 1-7, built 1-11, arrived to port 1-28/29, and should be picking it up in next week. However, you may get an allocation and then the building or shipping is delayed due to parts, weather, etc.

I'd say the scenario you are speaking about is when people get a truck within weeks, not months. You're hopping onto an allocation that's unreserved and has already undergone the building process. Otherwise, you're looking at a minimum of a month from allocated to deliver.

If someone truly has a confirmed allocation, as in they have the VSPEC and temorary VIN of their truck, that shouldn't take 4 months. Unless we are talking Pros or manuals, anything can happen there.

When you say ordered, do you mean you got a confirmed allocation with a VSPEC and temporary VIN? Because unless you have that, your truck doesn't exist yet. But yes, I'd say if all goes to plan, from confirmed allocation to delivery should be ~6 weeks.

well, im not sure, lol. i put a deposit down on a 2022 Sport 4x4 that the dealer said he was getting on 2/27 (it says "in transit" on their website). it has a VIN number but he said that VIN number isnt real yet (i checked online and it is assigned to 6 different 2022 Tacomas. So he wasn't lying about that part). I dont even know what a VSPEC is. The thing is, if this is all a bunch of BS and he just took my deposit on a truck he's not really getting with the hopes of stringing me along, Im just going to get my deposit back on 2/27 if it doesnt arrive and keep my current truck.
