I am partial to my 4xInnovations ones, they've endured a lot of abuse

 

Locally made if you can, otherwise probably 4xInnovation

 

Second on the 4x sliders

 

I'm pretty sure there's a ratchet just like that one inside the cab beneath the drivers side rear window of an 01 extra cab I sold in 2015ish

I had bought 4XInnovations weld-on sliders and they are not only stupid cheap, but strong based on all the posts/pics of people beating the shit out of them.

That or make your own

 

It's the only way to keep things from being seized the next time you have to touch anything.

Don't forget about the spindle gussets

 

Eh...I'll weld them on for someone, but wouldn't do it for myself.

I would've rather reinforced the coilover bucket.

 

Bucket tops and sides are important to reinforce but the most important from piece to avoid bucket failure are proper bump stops and limit straps

 

Makes sense.

Though having had Durobumps both front and rear did encourage me to drop off ledges or rocks more often than I should've.....

Those things were stupid soft and performed so admirably that I'm sad they don't offer them for the LC.

 

4x look good, just surprised they do straight connections and not triangles

You could always gusset the tube to the plate but i think it's overkill on a Toyota. They don't weigh enough

 

You'll rip the entire side of the frame off before you bend those tubes, sliders that flex a bit are a huge advantage, if they were perfectly rigid you'd do a lot more damage to the frame.

 

Ya. Doubt I'd ever break them but it's an easy thing to add if a weld ever cracks

I have @eimkeith bucket top reinforcements, but I haven't made side plates yet either. I do have limit straps ready to go but I need to find some hydro bumps (everything from King and Fox is a PITA to get right now)

On the subject of armor, Ryan is sacrificing his bellypan to the Land Cruiser gods so I can create a skid plate.

I'll need to figure out diff armor too; something DIY really.
