Not sure if this is the right thread to post, so please move if it isn’t.

I live in Roseville, just outside of Sacramento. I need to have the rear breaks done and the brake fluid replaced. I’m all stock, don’t need anything more than that. I am looking for recommendations on a good shop near me. Shop I had been using did some very low quality work on both my cars, so never again there. They left a quart of oil in the engine bay…as soon as I started the truck, spilled oil everywhere and popped the serpentine belt. Wife’s car, they broke the plastic radiator. It had 500 miles on it…

It’d be awesome if there was a place in Roseville, but I am willing to drive a bit for a good place. Just got my truck back from being repaired from getting rear ended and want to get her perfect.

Anytime I need work done that I can't do myself I take my truck to Knutz Auto in Rocklin. Ive been there several times over the years and they've done solid work.

I will give them a call. I wish I could wrench anymore, but I’m diabetic, have nerve damage all over, and still not 100% from my bout with Covid. Even vaccinated, damn near killed me. Docs said if I hadn’t been vaccinated, I wouldn’t have made it to the hospital.

If I don’t find a good spot up here, I might just take you up on the offer. Thank you sir!

I had kniesels do some work in my wife’s car and they did a great job. They seemed honest and didn’t try and sell me anything I didn’t need.

I will give them a call. I’m very near their Roseville location and they always seem to be busy.

The lady decided to take Friday off last week, so we packed up the new sleeping bag and gas grill, and cruised up Highway 1 all the way up to Leggett over the weekend. Absolutely perfect weather for January camping on the coast and in the redwoods.

Are there any beaches close to Ft. Bragg (In-laws live there) that allow actual beach camping with a truck and RTT? I did see Abalone Point which we'll probably check out but it's just a turnout. I did just spot Usal Beach also.

No. Manchester Beach SP is on a bluff on the coast side of the hiway. About the closest you can get is Russian Gulch and there’s no beach to speak of there.

Just camped at Usal this weekend; met 6 guys on this forum and we had a great time. You can camp right on the beach, but it is less windy in the woods a bit. I have also heard that there is a "no camping" sign at Blues Beach that no one enforces.

Speaking of my camping trip, I can post a few pics for everyone. I was planning to start at Usal Beach and make my way north to Shelter Cove, then all the way up to the Mattole River. Turns out they have gates to tell you they think an AWD car should turn back. So I spent the weekend at Usal Beach and made some new friends.

I spent Friday night at a rest stop on Hwy 101, so when I got to Usal Beach, I made coffee, breakfast, and friends.

The night before was cold (inland temps showed 24° on my thermometer) so I installed the thermal lining on my tent.

The redwoods are awe inspiring, and I took a shot under a fallen example.

Sunday morning as some left and others were still packing up.

    On the way out.

Four of us caravaned out and stopped for lunch at the drive through tree in Legget. Only one of our rigs fit through the tree, but it is still an nice place and its good to support tourism in a logging community. I had a great time with you guys (everyone I met is a member of this forum) and I can't wait for another adventure.
