Without knowing the behavior of the Morimoto's DRL it would be a guess. Are they able to DIM or just turn ON & OFF?

I think you'd want to disable the dimmer feature of the lights under the headlights. I wouldn't think they would make the Morimoto lights happy. I know I'd prefer they stayed full bright.

They dim when the headlight itself is turned to the on position.

@caribe makaira I have alpharex headlights, and as mentioned in the quoted post above would like to have the drls turn on and off with the oem light selector switch as well. sorry if this is a stupid question but i’m horrible with electrical. following your posted diagram, I will need to purchase a relay and apply the pictured wiring as in the diagram to achieve my goal correct?

If your installing it in the engine bay then a weatherproof type. (4 pin type)
If you have an empty spot in the smaller relay box, you could hide and secure it in there.

Yes, smaller gauge to the coil side (86)
    It's a ground activated circuit.

I’ve discussed a little bit with Johnny (@Puppypunter) about how we might support the 2nd Gen Morimoto LED headlight. Given its status as the only decent LED headlight for 2nd Gen.

The Alpha-Rex headlight, however, is a different story. I recognize some people believe it is a good headlight. From what I know about it, I personally prefer to avoid it. Sorry to disappoint.

And I do realize how the DRL harness would not be substantially different between morimoto and alpha Rex for a second gen. Which is one reason I haven’t made any progress with the morimoto either.

I really am not sure I’m willing to support a Morimoto product to be honest. I would be in quite the pickle if they made something for first gen Tundra.

I have considered making a premium sealed headlight power harness for halogen bulbs. It just takes me such a long time right now that it wouldn’t be worthwhile.

Broke down and bought these. My lights were trash and I needed new ones. I know the OEM upgrade is better but these really updated the look of the truck.

Install was simple. You’ll break a few plastic tabs probably but that’s to be expected. I tapped the wiper blades for my DTRLs and used a 5amp fuse. They send a 7.5 but they sent the wrong fuse tap type.

Anyways, pics: The glare is exaggerated by my phone camera. There is some but it is minimal and after aiming them no one is flashing their brights at me.

I also disabled the factory DTRL by cutting the green/red wire on the M1 harness. Didn’t like having 2 and the heat from the DTRLs on my factory lights melted the housing. Blinkers and parking lights still work.
