I’m not one to comment much on other peoples relationships, to each their own as long as no laws are being broken. I’ve learned my lesson to keep my mouth shut when an issue that doesn’t concern me is brought to my attention. That’s why my grandpa always said you have two eyes/ears and one mouth, you should be taking half as much as watching/listening.

But I feel like at some point there’s an age difference that gets to be too far, what that number is I don’t have an exact answer, but Adam Sandler had said it best years ago.

I bought my place in WV back in 2017 but I'm just now moving there permanently next week so I haven't switched my license over to WV yet. I cant wait to leave Baltimore and call this home. I absolutely love the freedom WV has to offer.

I plan on calling the WV DMV today or tomorrow, but you should definitely get back to us about your experience in transferring your license!

Just a heads up, I have done some fairly extensive research online, and apparently all new WV residents transferring an out-of-state license are required to complete a "brief alcohol awareness course" before getting their WV license.

I was hit by a recidivist drunk driver in my Tacoma a little over six years ago, but I have a blistering hatred for state policies that inconvenience the overwhelming majority of the motoring public that drinks responsibly and has never gotten a DUI conviction in the name of getting "just one drunk off the road". Don't even get me started on sobriety checkpoints...

    :annoyed: :luvya:

I understand that the police are just doing their job, but I encountered one DUI checkpoint on St. Patrick's Day almost five years ago, while driving home from the nightclub where I was working as a barback at the time; I now look up DUI checkpoints ahead of time and go out of my way to avoid them!

So yeah, some people don't mind it, and I would tolerate the aforementioned "brief alcohol awareness course" knowing what I know about all WV has to offer; However, I only think it should be imposed on new licensees under the age of 21 and anyone who's had a DUI conviction in the last decade or so, regardless of age. I'm almost 33, I don't drive drunk, I've never gotten a DUI, and my driving record is damn near flawless!

That's just my two sense, and I figured I'd share what I know with you in case you didn't know, so you know what you're in for :)

Women! My ex did that to me! That's why I have scratches on my truck... I am planning to get it fixed when the weather warms up.

Good thing, I am no longer with her anymore.

The last girl I was with was never truly a girlfriend, and at this point she's just a former friend with benefits who I regret sleeping with, who called herself my girlfriend...

    :anonymous:

Anyway, she never did any harm to my truck, but there is a fairly well-known story here on TW about something she did in my truck; Don't worry, it was not sexual and does NOT fall into the NSFW category...

Residents of the Bucks-Mont area and other Philly burns will know where Almshouse Road is; I was driving this girl home (she has a license but can't afford a car). She likes orange soda, and so do I; I had a stash of Diet Sunkist in the garage fridge. I gave her one for the road, and about ten minutes after we left my house we were on Almshouse. She finished her soda and then seriously, out of the corner of my eye I saw her roll down the window (I have a base model RC; What power windows?), and then the can was gone.

It took me a few seconds to process what had just happened, then I looked at her dumbfounded and was like "Did you just throw that out the window?!?!"

Ever so casually, she responded "Yes."

I was pissed; I don't like litterbugs, and I certainly don't like garbage being thrown out of my truck, when there are literally signs everywhere saying that you can be pulled over and fined anywhere from $300 to $1,000 for littering!

I understandably became more than a little irate and went on a profanity-laced rant; Her response was "There's nobody around..."

This succeeded in pissing me off even more, and this girl did what she usually does when someone rightly criticizes her for any reason; She started playing the victim and became incredibly belligerent towards me, saying "Don't fucking yell at me!" and things like that.

This girl has mental issues (most notably bipolar) that I underestimated the severity of when I reconnected with her, and she actually punched a former friend's fiancé in the face weeks prior to us hooking up for calling her "trash".

We were in a relatively small regular cab pickup truck, hurting down a relatively narrow winding road at probably 45 MPH, at night; Not a good place to have a domestic dispute with a mentally unpredictable individual.

I told her that if a cop had seen us, or if another motorist had seen us and given my license plate to the cops, and I got a ticket, she'd be paying it. I then told her that a ticket could be as high a thousand bucks.

    She's like "I can't afford that!"

I rolled my eyes and was like "Well, you should have fucking thought about that before you threw a fucking soda can, out of the fucking window, of my fucking truck, on a public fucking road!"

    Silence.

I then told her that I had Weathertech floor liners, that she could throw her trash on the floor, and that if she littered from my truck again she'd be permanently banned from riding in it. She still could not seem to comprehend why what she had done was wrong in so many ways, and I permanently cut her out of my life in like September...

Thanks. 34 murders in just 27 days so far here in Baltimore city so I'm willing to do what I've gotta do to get out of this hellhole and live in peace & quiet at my secluded cabin. And the non-fatal shootings is even higher. I'm ready to go. I'm at my work loading up now. This move is a big change for me because I've been here at the same job since 1994.

Shooting can happen anywhere. All you do is watch your back.

This was just a few blocks from my work the other night. Killed that man for nothing. The victim was well known in the community. He worked as a general manager for a local restaurant for over 20years, real nice guy. I agree you have to watch your back but look at how fast that man's life was taken. Here in Maryland in unlawful for us law abiding citizens to carry. That's why I love WV, it's a 2nd Ammendment state.

Sorry to hear about that guy..

A friend of mine was shot 6 times and survived... and about a year later, he passed away in sleep. I miss him. We were planning to go kayaking for fishing but never happen.

Funny haha..though that can be a tough guideline re age. My wife is 60 years old and has a body most women half their age wish they had.

Imagine that; A picture of my dad and me in the 2003 S2000, with the Pathfinder and the van behind it! At the house in Doylestown my parents rented from 2005 to 2007, probably circa September or October 2005...

He didn't let me drive it because I didn't know how to drive stick back then, and he thought it was too much car for me; I was allowed to drive the S2000's replacement though, a 2002 BMW 325Ci convertible!

I have been BUSY; I just now called the DMV headquarters in Charleston and it's GOOD NEWS! As long as my out-of-state driver's license (in this case Pennsylvania) is NOT EXPIRED, I do not have to take any tests (written or road) in order to transfer my PA license for a WV one! I also found that the "brief alcohol awareness course" is only for people who have a DUI in the state they are moving from; I've never had a DUI, and have never lost my driving privileges, so if I can find a good job there I might actually do it!

So, I FINALLY called the WV DMV and found out that the aforementioned "alcohol awareness course" is only for new residents who have previously had a DUI; If you've been arrested for driving drunk, you're good!
