    It's beautiful man - a work of art nonetheless - a Picasso - a Rembrandt -

    It's a Tacoma in the wild -

OME all around. SPC UCA. This and that.
My sister just bought a house right where you live. There's a lot of people camping at Copa right now. Basically four roads on the west side. I might be able to get away this week like midweek or this weekend and I'm going to try to bring the out. A 2-year-old 4 year old dog and wife. People make like a little circle of campers out there and just hang out. Your wife disabled? I asked cuz she could go too. My wife is a chef as well and has worked with a lot of disabled people. She would probably take care of all the grilling.

Well, not my 3rd gen, and not really scenic, but it does have a Tacoma in the picture.

    Naw man she's a high-falutin-something-or-other up at A.S.U....
She's in the garage now re-arranging and putting away her tools gearing up for the next project -
Likes to go to Home Depot and load up on lumber and such and crank up the table saw grab some clamps
and go at it... runs circles around most in a wood shop... built out this outdoor kitchen setup to house our
Onni Pro 16 wood-fired-pizza oven, sink, outdoor gas-range setup, and my grill-hut....

For solo-camping I take a flower pot, ( with holes in the side )... a small cast-iron grate, and burn lump in it... works well.

I'm sure she'd kill to go out in fact we are trying to snag some other camping sites now, but her time is limited. Trying to
    talk her into retirement...

Excellent and I want to get similar shots and plan to once it warms up a bit, Milky-Way season will be upon us
    late spring.

For these types of images you need to set to Infinity, which always isn't true, so once set manually dial in one bright
object so that it becomes very clear in the view finder or view panel. Set the f-stop as low as possible, ISO to 1600
or more if needed, and shutter for 10-15-20-25 seconds... take a few images. Then, while still on tripod re-focus on
the truck nice and clean shot and take one or more of it... then merge two of the images... this sh*t is fun as hell...
oh and of course go as wide as possible... 12mm / 18mm / 20mm as low as wide as you can go.

If you don't have the capability to merge 2 clean shots ( with different focal points ) I have software to do it if interested.

You can also 'paint' the foreground with a small flashlight.. just pan it over the subject real quick while shutter is open
and even try different colored lights too for different effects.

    Otherwise - most excellent shot...

I use lensrental.com to 'rent' expensive lenses, and am today returning a Nikon 200-500mm (a frigging beast) and previously
rented the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 before I bought one for myself. If you want to explore equipment and cameras and lenses it's
a great way to try before you buy as this stuff gets expensive... snagged these images yesterday.

Lots to choose from, and you can spend a reasonable amount on equipment or a heck of a lot...

I suggest you visit forums and read up on all manner of cameras and then go to stores and pick them up, get all touchy feely
with them see what fits your hand well. Do you like the dial placement, can you see yourself switching gears real fast with one
camera over another. Then check out the lenses because that is where all the action is -

A less expensive camera with 'good-glass' will take superior images over a very expensive camera with so-so 'glass'.

Me, I like Nikon. They make good stuff and they make good glass.
    Canon - good stuff too.
Fuji - good stuff as well.
    Sony - good stuff

    It's all good stuff ...

The newer stuff out there is 'mirrorless' ... and expensive ... but the lens choices are small because they are new setups.

Here is some stuff I took with a Nikon D3300...
