Installed an aftermarket transmission cooler with some aluminum mounts I fabbed up to replace the puny stock cooler, replaced my transmission pan, pan gasket, and filter, and did a full change/flush of the ATF. Used Valvoline MaxLife ATF and added some Lubeguard Platinum. Truck is at 83k so I figured it was time.

I have these same headlights and I'm having problems adjusting them and they seem kinda dim, did you have any of these problems?

I don't see a huge difference between the two. Yes they're different but to me the difference isn't dramatic. What is huge to me is the headlights on the first series of the 2nd gen, those are freakin massive lmao

Swapped out the eBay purchased headlamps and replaced with Morimoto XB. Light output and visibility is much better but a $238 eBay set can't compare to a $750 Morimoto set (Black Friday pricing last year) any day.

I had a 3rd gen for over 5 years. I say it is more of a severe "underbite" aka the chin guard. I personally loved the appearance. Just hated the powertrain.

A little recovery job. Nice old lady hit a drift and went in the ditch. Tacoma to the rescue. Looks like control arm was driven into engine. Tow truck on the way.

@dpele The quality is great. It was so simple and I compared the two and it looks the same and works the same. Thanks as well for the @ info. I wondered how that was done!

    ORDERED:

    - x2Power 27F from Batteries Plus Bulbs
    - SDHQ billet terminals
    - HKB MK4 ADJUSTABLE ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE BOOSTER

All in about $600 for a power charge/supply system that’ll keep my winch, ARB compressor, Baja Design bevy of lights, dual Jackery 500/300 and ICECO 75L fridge going strong while still being able to start my Taco.

Scrubbed the chew spills/stains out of the seat today. Also, ordered a new Scorpion winch/bumper insert. Thanks @iDiggs9. Your’s looked so good I just had to break out the credit card again. F6A5F3A0-24A4-4AE3-A3E6-AB694CE05E0A.jpg

Well with me doing some of the unordinary, often overlooked maintenance recently and the talk of changing out the PCV on here, I jumped on the wagon and also changed mine. Having recently cleaned the MAF and throttle body as well, my rpm needle is pinned at 750. It no longer jumps + or - 100, 150 rpms just sitting. All in all a very simple, cheap fix to smooth out the engine at idle. Now to see if it feels any different while driving…
