It's my fault for not measuring before I bought them. Originally I had a 1.5" add a leaf and removed the overload spring and liked the stance of the truck but I bottomed out on anything so i added a 1" block which has helped a little but its still bad. Fully compressed I'm inches away from my bump stops. I love the front end but would recommend different rear shocks unless you want the stink bug look. I might ride these until they fail then replace them with the correct size shocks.

That's about how much shock I have showing on my 6" lift for the rear shocks

So I was gonna go with a much more expensive lift but I find myself not needing an expensive lift. I don’t really ever go up in the mountains. I live and drive on dirt roads and fire roads. I am considering this kit for my 15 trd pro. The junk of a bilstein kit it came from factory with is worn out. I do like to go on some trails couple times a year. Would this kit be worth it? And does it come with bump stops and extra stuff higher end kits come with?

Yeah the vertex kit will have you more than covered, it does not however come with extended bump stops or other items you may find in a higher end kit.

I got the spanner wrench from RC for these coils but still have tried using it yet, waiting to see if it settles anymore before try to jump up the driver side but I dont think its going to. Question for anyone that may know the answer. When I got the lift installed I had an alignment as well. Wasn't going to throw on new tires for a bit but now im thinking about sending on some 285/75/r16s. Do I need another alignment if I throw on the new tires?

I recommend it and also recommend another alignment after 1000 or so miles on the new lift. I screwed up and plumb forgot . Luckily I planned on getting new tires anyways. I got 2 1/2 years of dd to work and offroading on weekends more than occasionally. I have 285/75/16 km3's. I would buy them again for sure. I have never gave the ko2's a chance . My friends have had em and like them very much. I've always been a mud terrain tire guy nothing less. So first attempt at all terrains . I'm going 295/75/16 =33.4x11.6 for the new tire size . 10.3 lbs lighter than the km3's over all .

I’m already about 500 miles in on my lift kit, you think I can get away with throwing new tires on and when I hit the 1000 miles just do 1 alignment? Lol I’m tryin to save money and time by not going back for an alignment every two weeks

Did you buy the 10403 wrench? I recommend trying it, seems too small to me.

Yeah. There are 3 options for the Tacoma, 3,3.5, and 6. They’re all the same except shock length.

Alright so this is interesting. I see someone selling a 3inch kit for a good price. What I’ve gathered is run it 3-1 front rear on adjustment settings, most of you have a weird gap between rear shock and bump stops. And adjusting the front is damn near impossible while it’s on the truck.

any other keys I’m missing? I’d be rocking the blocks until I can get some AAL instead. Probably icon AAL and keep the factory overload in so it’s more like 2 inch then the 1.5 advertised? Would prob be staying with my 265/75’s for a while just cus if money. Not maximizing the lift I know. I’d probably go to a 33inch tire on 16x8 0 offset wheel down the road. And I assume you guys did the ecgs bushing? Main part that concerns me with this lift is really the not being able to adjust and the fact the rear compressed all the way still has a gap before the bump stop.

if I got anything wrong chime in. I tried to read and observe before asking what’s already answered.
