I test fitted similar mustang wheels on my 99. They seemed to be too wide didn't have much turning radius at all and that was without tires. how do those fit?

Not the best picture but it is a roller shot! Readylift SST and Bilstein 4600/5100 installed. I’ll recycle that quote and say it feels like a truck now. Shout out to 5 Lug Fury for answering some of my questions.

I understand that in state 50 you are not allowed to notch. How are you this low?

And please do tell about the vent on the right front fender. There to let in fresh air to the factory air intake?
I was thinking about a small NACA duck to push cooler air into the factory air box. The factory air filters are superior for air filtration & flow. All the other POS (K&N and such) let in dirt‼️ I towed my quad to the dunes one weekend, it was cold and windy setting in the truck with the heater running my air tube pass the filter was full of sand‼️ The filter was new never been cleaned and trust me installed correct.

Magnuson for the 2.7L???

 

Well I didn’t build this below out of LEGO’s!

As a matter of fact I dropped off this 07 Reg. cab at the tuner this morning (1-3-22) to see if they need to make any adjustments to the tune. I have added a new LCE header, 2.5” Magnaflow system w/ two 5x8x18’s mufflers in a row and a 14” resonator w/ one OE cat (the exhaust note with one muffler, 14” resonator & the cat made women & children run for cover @ WOT) plus a water/methanol injection.
The tuner only wanted a 1# nozzle to help cool the charge. I will most likely increase the nozzle size once I get it back. Sorry to say this Magnuson system would probably be available if Magnuson could supply some superchargers to the vendor. The vendor ordered 20 units and I may not be able to get my second one for our 15 Access cab. Not even being a Guinea pig is helping at this point.

 

2005 Access Cab 5 Lug Automatic with TRD Grille style and tricolor badge, got the fog lights, Fatbobs lift for the front, random extra leaf at the back, Motive 4.56 gears as nothing is flat where I live, Powertrax locker, fake 17 black rhino Overland wheels with 265/65 BFgoodrich, soon to upgrade shocks to Bilsteins.

How do you like the 4.56s? Im currently on 33s with 4.30s but may go higher in gearing and tires lol

 

Ive been looking for a post on winter tires on a 5 lug. How did the truck do with the winter tires? Did you add any weight in the bed? Close to pulling the trigger a set of wheels with blizzacks from tire rack.

 

It’s simply perfect, fuel consumption is back to nearly normal, and I got to use the 4th gear once again! Driving at 65 mph indicates that I have the correct RPMs now with those tires. Once again nothing is flat here, I live in Costa Rica, which can compare to doing a bit offroading and climbs in the USA? Torque is very nice plus with the locker this thing can climb a tree now.

 

I did actually go with 31.1” (275/65) rubber without regearing first, obviously the 4th gear was useless and would go into it only at REALLY flat roads, fuel mileage was horrible too, I did countless hours of reading at Tacomaworld and 4.10s are for tacomas that get bigger wheels and that may go on a highway regularly, otherwise 4.56 are just perfect for those seeking torque and good (very close to stock) MPG with 31-32” or so tires.

You have my dream build. I just got my levelling kit and am looking for 31/10.5/15s. how much power loss do you notice with the 32's?
