Just slap a Tacoma badge on MRVN!

And it doesn't need a bed because the back 2 wheels are an attached trailer than can be dropped. :p

I would think that the gravity and atmosphere difference would require a different vehicle design, but maybe not.

Exactly, looks more like a movie prop than actual hardware. Very Armageddon-esq.

I can only tell you it was on display at Kennedy Space Center when we were there in December. How "legit" it is, I can't say.

But it does look bad ass!

Definitely sexier/easier to sell to the public than LRV

That is pretty badass driving. If he really screwed up, the consequences would have been dire.

When you're on the moon with a ascent vehicle that has one chance to work or else you die you might as well have some fun first.

For those that want more context/background/politics involved in developing the LRV, check out "Across the Airless Wilds" by Earl Swift. I'm just finishing it. Not the greatest read on the Apollo era but much more depth on the subject than any other book I've read regarding Apollo.

    Thanks for the recommendation .

Here’s another deep dive type of book - kinda dry in some places but provides incredible details in the KSC’s development:

    https://www.amazon.com/History-Kennedy-Space-Center/dp/0813030692

Edit: When I say KSC’s development, I should have clarified it touches upon all of the Apollo Program development.

Sweet! Thanks! I'm ok with dry when its a subject I enjoy. The human interest aspects have been well covered (and I enjoy those) but give me the nitty-gritty/unglamorous details of how as well!

*Edit: added to cart (in case I can't order it through local book store)

Whacked for posting an F9 launch here- never.

Maybe for not getting some of the RTLS landing but never the launch :D.

    Welcome to the thread :hattip:
