I think I have not/cannot installed my extreme LED bar correctly. The bolts that connect to the bar seem too short.

 

I had the same problem. I'll try and take pictures of mine in the morning. I still have yet to get mine aimed right, it is finicky.

 

Glad I'm not the only one. I could probably tighten it a little more to get it to stay but it doesn't look right. I bought longer bolts to test at Lowes but I think they're a couple mm too long despite being the next size up (50 to 60mm). Regardless, the bar is secure but can still rotate up/down a degree or two, which means off-roading can knock it out of alignment.

Also, which way did you orient the bar? I have it so the cable is on the passenger side.

 

My cable is drivers.
I did get it to work with the supplied bolt kit. I do remembered making a washer but then not using it. If I remember correctly I had the angle mounts wrong or washers in the wrong spot.

 

Hm I'll flip it around then. Might make all the difference.

Given the rest of the packaging and instructions, I'm definitely inclined to believe it's me, not them. These guys made perhaps the best instructions I've ever seen that weren't from Lego, and packaging all the hardware in bags (like Lego) is a genius play.

 

I did use a homemade washer.

Yea it's not going anywhere. It is hard to aim where you want it but there is a ton of adjustments you can make which is great.

It is secure and overall great. Would buy again.

Have I positioned the extremeLED bar about where it ought to go? Hard to tell how much the cutouts are going to cutoff the output.

 

Cutouts will affect the output imperceivably. Looking forward to seeing it bolted up to your truck.

 

Me neither. Soon as I finish my electrical distribution module for the lights, the rack goes up.

 

I just received my bravo ex cap rack for my taco and the instructions online show a different type of mounting feet. Anyone have experience with this install?

 

Anyone have / seen a pic of an alpha cap rack on a medium height truss bed rack? TIA!

 

Not only did the scenepods make night time in camp better....it also help keep the unattentive driver from hitting the truck at high tide.

 

I like the rottweiler standing guard under the scene pod light protecting the taco.
