Dude If I were you I would just save up a Hundred bucks more for the No-Slip. Sounds like your on the road more than the trail, so the No-Slip is going to benefit you in the long run. It says on the website the Lock-Rite is geared primarily towards off-road use while the No-Slip is a little more street friendly.

To me it seems like a no brainer... You just posted you drive 4 days a week to school...

I drive about 40 miles a day to and from work and its all highway. So I offroad maybe 2 weekends a month. I just wanted to more offroad friendly since i am 2WD and i need as much traction as i can get. But thats just me.

I was going 60 on the interstate and hear 3 loud pops really fast. Didnt think anything of it since it didnt drive funny. Slowed down pulling into a parking lot and the whole back end would lock up and break free and toss the whole back end around. Was making a really loud bang each time the teeth skipped.

You can't lock LSD.. And not all taco's come with the LSD.

I would go with the no-slip. I had a lockrite in for over a year and loved it. When I SAS I went with No-slip's.. I don't notice a damn difference, but whatever.

Do you really think the fact that you were using it primely on on the road is the reason it messed up?

No i honestly think it was a defect. It was installed word for word by the instructions and used the gear oil weight recommended in the manual. It was giving the proper break in period before i took it offroad. And at the point when it failed i was driving straight down the highway at 60mph. I in no way was being harsh on it.

That is true, it would be different if you were off road and just dogging it or something, i would call up rocky road and talk to them about it and what not, or are you going straight to powertrax?
