    True that

If it's 2"~ i can push it into a pile near the front of the driveway and then shovel from there out to the street. Past that I'm pretty much just shoveling and carrying lol

I have been pondering a quad with a plow

I should probably just buy a nice snowblower and stop bitching

Or just hire someone. The older I get the more I’m accepting that I don’t have to DIY all the tbings

    valid, I've considered it too.

god knows I don't have the time to do all the things that I want to as it is. I have a very hard time spending money on things that make my life better though :homer:  :bananadead:

Yeah, it’s not easy to spend money on that stuff sometimes. Could look it as a short term too - pay someone temporarily, buy a snowblower in the summer off someone moving or at a sale in the spring

We got two kids that do an awful job shoveling.... so we bought a snow blower haha. That thing just needs a cupholder and it's basically nicer than most daily drivers I had before I was 21 and it's an EV.

I think I saw a picture of it, one of the e go ones right? I got one of their mowers 2 years ago and have zero regrets. I sharpen up the blade a bit in the spring and that is all the maintenance it needs for the year.

Yeah its the larger of the E-GO models, I wasn't immediately sold on the idea because our driveway is huge and so is the section of walkway we have to clear being a corner house. But damn if that thing can't chuck the stuff clear over the county line and run at full speed without even draining the thing. I could probably do two more driveways after mine and the walkways and it is quiet. I am considering getting the mower now that we have the batteries, thing is our lawn is massive... most folks you ask would say we should have a riding mower. So I have less confidence in the battery's ability to do all that and frankly I don't want to buy more of those batteries, they're nearly as expensive as a new cheap gas mower.

Amazed it’s that good, batteries typically don’t like the cold.

I have 0.25 acre to mow and 5Ah the battery makes it without going into the red if I fully charge it.

The convenience and time savings for me is what sells it. Don’t have to change oil, fuck with a carb , pull a rope, and it folds up to store under the stairs without leaks. Unfold it and start mowing in less than 30 seconds, including removing it from the under stairs.

I think I'm gonna try and wedge the Sentra into the shop before the snow hits maybe I will finally be inspired to poke at the core support

The snow blower runs two of the large 56V batteries, and we charge them in the house to avoid them sitting chilly. In the machine itself they are in a sealed compartment and they're usually warm when I remove them so it's probably insulated to a degree. Might have to try the mower...

I still kick myself for never buying an early 90's SE-R coupe when I had the chance. Would make a fun daily and an easy swap for an SR20.

It hasn't snowed here in a month but hasn't been more than 40° getting rid of the ice this season has been near impossible.

N/A so it'd still requires pulling the engine and swapping stuff for the DET version. For a daily I wouldn't mind the FWD. It'd also be easier to handle in snow if needed.

It hurts my brain thinking about how cheap cars used to be when I started driving. So many are collectible now and cost an arm and a leg. I could have bought a used NSX at the dealer for $21k.

I feel your pain, I too have cultivated a nice ice patch despite my snow removal efforts... There's also a lot of big trees over here so some of the side streets have been ice for weeks now lol

I got a new idler but I need to install it, and find/replace the belts and tension springs still.

I've been spending most of my energy on personal stuff lately so I really haven't made much progress on anything mechanical in a while :boink:
