I seen Pittsburgh could get up to a foot but here in central pa, we are getting rain, to ice which from what I am seeing is going to be "no one is going anywhere ice", followed by some snow on the back end.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Nothing like the fun of moving another vehicle by pulling when your by yourself.

I wonder who has not had to do that?

I don`t mind snow 24" would be fine.

I just hate freezing rain trees and wires becoming a Big mess one never knows will the electric be off a few hours or days

Snow is fine as long as it's just that, snow. Any ice or rain mixed in makes a miserable combination to shovel/blow. I'm still chiseling the stuff that fell several weeks ago. I can still walk on spots in the yard and not hardly break through it. There's also spots in the driveway I still can't get rid of with a flat shovel! I'd rather get 24" of the fluffy stuff than the 6" of snow/rain/ice mix we had. Much easier to move.

Good morning PA. I had off yesterday afternoon, so I thought I'd try to get the truck washed. Drove by twice in the afternoon and the line at the carwash was about 8 deep. I'm guessing the last guy in line waited for over an hour (that's a little nuts). I even drive by one last time at 8:30 last night and there were still 4 folks in line. Everyone seems desperate to get this salt off. I'm going to try again on the way to work this morning.

I thought about doing that yesterday or today, but with all the rain coming in it made no sense to me. Gonna bring all that salt outta the roads and make the truck dirty again... :pout:

Yeah they went nuts with the salt! I was in BC (Canada) in December and early Jan, they use less than 1/2 the salt we do and didn't even bother plowing the neighborhood roads with 8 inches or so.

My preference would be somewhere in between. I'd like to be able to drive down my street in a sedan, but in PA driving down 476 on Saturday night I could actually taste the salt coming in through my air vents.

I just wish PennDot would realize people work 2nd shift and go home after 11pm. It's almost like the wild west that time of night. No treatment, salt, or plowing. Driving home last Friday night was an adventure as the roads were complete ice!

So there was no line this morning at the carwash. I got right in. I decided to time it just to see how much time some of those folks were wasting yesterday. 10 minutes: 26 seconds from when the door opened to when the blower stopped.
