Don't know if it was how intended but I ended up unbolting the seat belt and running it through then rebolting.

Ok that was my plan but then I thought this can’t be how they intended it to go.

I got mine for Christmas and installed them in an hour. They fit great and are pretty well padded. I couldn't get my hands down where the center console is to secure the hooks on the driver/passanger side. Once the weather gets warmer I plan on unbolting the seat for access.

Has anyone installed the popular Besond heated seats kit under a set of the Rough Country seat covers?

I've got the heated seat kit and ready to tear my factory black cloth with orange stitched seats apart and install them, but I'm really contemplating a set of seat covers to both protect the seats and my my life quite a bit easier if I have any problems out of the heated seat elements down the road.

I know people put them under Clazzio's and Wet Okole's often, and they even offer the kits with the covers, but I really like the price and looks of the RC seat covers.

Dog hair is a PITA with these things, but I would rather deal with that than them ruining the leather. I use one of those lint rollers to get the dog hair off that the vacuum misses.

Installed my fronts yesterday after they've been sitting in the garage for 6 months. Most of my wrinkles were already worked out by then, haha.

I did use a carpet extractor on my front seats prior to install, so when it's time to pull these I'll have fresh clean seats underneath.

Not a tough install, but I don't love them. The covers on the seat backs are a little puffy and ballooned, like they are holding air between the seat and the seat cover. There's just enough added material with the seat cover on that my seating position has changed and I can't find the sweet spot again.

I have a Golden Retriever and a rear seat delete (double cab truck), the dog hair was honestly not bad at all with the stock seats. Golden retriever hair flies everywhere but doesn't really stick to anything. Hoping this is similar.

Ordered mine 26 Dec and still waiting. I’ve been close to canceling the damn order but the covers do look nice.

I ordered mine on 12/29 and have been watching as the “Estimated ship date” has changed three times in the last month.

It was showing the latest ship date as 1/21/22, but now the website just says “Shipping soon”. I chatted with RC support and they say the new ETA is 2/18/22. I’ve had a lot of good luck with RC parts, but this isn’t the first time I’ve waited months for something to ship from them.

I’ve had my heated seat wiring completed since December, and have just been waiting on these covers to put the heated elements in and not disassemble my stock covers. Unfortunately, at this rate winter will be over when these finally ship, so I’ve been tempted to cancel and go with another set, but these look great in all the pictures I’ve seen.

Yeah, I feel ya. I've been looking for other sets but I really like everything I've seen about the RC covers.

I asked this about a month ago and didn’t get an answer, so I decided to do it anyway. I can’t see any reason it wouldn’t work since Wet Okole sells kits with neoprene covers and carbon fiber heated seat elements.

I’ve got all the wiring completed for my heated heats and just waiting on the seat covers to get the elements installed.

I ordered this kit which seems to be pretty popular here on the forums.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Toyota...t-for-RAV4-Camry-Corolla-Tacoma-/151685207264

I then use three add-a-circuit fuses; 1 for EACH heated seat 20A circuit (2 total) and 1 for BOTH of the 10A ignition powered circuits (both wired together into one circuit).

I eventually plan to run an auxiliary fuse box and at that point I’ll remove the add-a-circuits and redo the wiring, but absolutely no reason you can’t run this way for the lifetime of the heated seats.

RC is still showing a ship date of 2/18 for the front and rear kit. Wonder if they’ll be pushed back again before that time gets here.

Fingers crossed they ship on the date provided this time. I’ve seen it change 4 or 5 times since I placed my order. They seem to be worth the wait for the price though based on this thread.

I remember doing a group buy on TN back in 2006 for Wet Okoles. Cost me $400 for 2 rows and the center console.
$200 16 years later is a heck of a lot cheaper.
