It did, we only did two coats of stain and one coat of the Spar Verathane, it dried but some dust got in it so there are a few imperfections but it's hardly noticeable and can be sanded out. They came out very good, had a few runs of stain on the edges but not a deal breaker for me. Learned a lot.

Then we put up some shelves above them yesterday. Much nicer space now. Just need to cut and stain some panels for my desk leg shelves and it's all done.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
All of these let in a lot of COLD air back into the home/dryer. Not quite as bad as a fart fan vent would, but still the cold could make it into the dryer. I know this because I switched out the one on my basement bathroom's fart fan. I was getting serious cold drafts in this fans' short run. I have the flipper valve opening type on my dryer vent, with plans to switch it out as well.
Good luck with that being that close to the ground -BUGS?/RODENTS (mice)

Well furnace issue ended up being the blower fan. had a "tech" out yesterday and he more or less confirmed it. And boy does Trane want a pretty penny for a new motor. Even shopping around myself the cheapest replacement was $800 bucks. Which was better than the $1300-1600 the HVAC guy quoted me.

But anyways was easy enough to get it out

and then the new one back in

And man that HVAC guy was just a grump ass. He installed this system and the first thing he does when he shows up is complain about the pressure tank. To which I tell him i can move out of his way in just a couple minutes if he wants. Which he says no to. Then proceeds to bitch about it being in his way the entire time he was there. And of course he tries to make it sound like some super complex disassembly is going to be needed to get the motor out. Talks about how all sorts of stuff will have to be removed and this and that.

Lets just say i was glad to have him leave! Was even polite and called him later to tell him the wife and I were going to hold off while we decide what route we want to go. Course I had already overnighted the new motor by then.

O and the disassembly.....literally was 5 sheet metal screws. 2 hold the control board in place, one held the condensate drain thing in place, and two held the fan motor assembly in place. Then the fan motor assembly just slide out and it was a couple more screws/bolts to replace the motor.

Some of the items came in, I went with Eaton. So I'm going to do a few a day. Still waiting on the 4-way switches to show up though.

Hmmm. Internet seems to think Danfoss only acquired Eaton Hydraulics.

Well if true, that sucks. I wonder if my favorite local supply house will still carry it if the brands change as they are an Eaton distributor.

Also an interesting tidbit, the tamper resistant outlets and switches I received are made in the USA and the 3 way switches are made in China. Don't know if this is model specific or just luck of the draw.

So, interesting development with the water softener. Looked in the brine tank and I can tell it hasn't done a regen since last week. Hmm, well that's interesting. Upon further investigation there's a gear/cover missing on the time portion...

Well, that sucks! Put it in regen mode manually (that's why you see it in backwash mode) and it all worked ok. Softener still appears to work pretty good, water is pretty damn soft. Pretty nice to take a shower with! Much better than the old city water at the old place. For the time being I'll just manually regen it every 3 or so days before I got to bed. It still works and I don't need to spent the $500-$700 on a new one right now.

This is a long shot, but if anybody happens to know where I can get one of those, I'll post a pic of the model...

EDIT: So I did some more Google-fu and the manual had a parts break down. Somehow I found the time/program wheel online. Will order!

Would anyone have a recommendation for a spray on application that would protect paint from UV rays on a tin sign.

You are going to hate tamper resistant outlets. I cant use some of my small kitchen appliances because the plugs are old and arent shaped just right to allow them past the tamper proof gate thingys. I will be replacing them all sometime soon.

Thanks for the heads up, I just installed one in the kitchen and tested with the toaster and mixer. I'll probably test all of the small appliances tomorrow before I continue.

Automotive clear coat. Pricey solution though. Maybe someone has a cheaper alternative
