That's a horrible idea. What time?
I think car makers should make a color that looks like road salt for snow belt states. They seem to have a fascination with grays anyway.

I'm watching the predicted storm. Like usual, I expect to be disappointed.

For some reason, us in the middle of the state rarely get hammered!

It's annoying. The news hypes the shit out of a storm and we end up with a slight dusting. Yet all the local road maint. Depts all bought huge amounts of salt. Guess who gets to drive thru that shit deep into April because they need to get rid of it? Yeah, me!

They even name these storms now. This one is called "Landon".

I just can't get terrified by a storm called "Landon".

Rant over. Please resume your regular scheduled program.

I live in the Kzoo area, I would love a good dump of snow. Yeah it’s funny watching the hype. It’s just another “Pure Michigan “ winter day.

Got an average of 10 inches coming here :notsure:

Of course, that's after 2 inches of rain turns into ice.... :rain:

3-4" in Midland. Roads are lousy though.

Same. I just got done shoveling the walks here in Midland as well.

Enough if a work out to reward myself with a beer.

The only thing I shovel anymore is the deck. The Polaris ranger takes care of the driveway. Still requires beer though.

I hear you. The blower just doesn't do a good enough job on the city walks. Gotta clean up a bit with the shovel. I got a lot of peeps that like to walk/ run in my area.

I would like to like these Michigan quotes, but every snowflake that falls from the sky is a special sprinkle of misery for us in and out delivery drivers. You have to stay super focused all day. Unplowed rural driveways get interesting, along with mailboxes with snow covered address numbers. Like my wife says,” it’s pretty to look at.” Nothing but respect to anyone working in it… have you thanked your delivery man today?

Agreed. It definitely makes any driving job much more of a pain the arse. I had two packages scheduled to be delivered yesterday and I felt guilty that parcel guys were out there trying to deliver my packages that were nothing important and could wait for. I was relieved to see they were delayed.

On another side note about driving, my neighborhood has deep culverts on the side of the roads with no curbs so inevitably people slide into the ditches around my house all winter. Pulled 2 people out yesterday already  Would have been three if I didn’t teach the teeny bopper driving a wrangler rubicon how to use 4x4 o_O

If you go the utility shell route, the bed demensions are the same as an S-15 or GMC Sanoma pick ups.

There are lots of choices for those types of trucks.

All that news focus on a storm that mostly stuttered...yet here in Muskegon this year we've had at least two occasions where we've gotten about 12"+ that was mostly un-forecasted lake effect.

Also, here's a shameless bump if anyone local is looking for a high-quality used light bar:

Which one of you was at the Belleville Menards today?

Army green third gen. Had front bumper and rear with swingout. Roof rack and bed rack. Great looking build.
