You should get a pressure washer and do it home so you don't feel rushed.

That was in the "touchless" wash line. I don't mind doing it at home when it's above freezing. I don't have a heated garage and all of the hoses are packed up for the winter.

I have a special nozzle, but having a well, I just can't get high pressure out of my hose, especially with my outside spigot on the other side of the house from where the well sits.

I invested $4 and cleaned the first 3 layers off the daily van, then drove home on the dirt road -- at least it is fresh dirt now.

I'm hoping it's warm enough on Thursday to put a water sprinkler under my truck to wash off some of this salt.
Jersey well In my area they use a ridiculous amount of salt on the roads

I bought a small Sun Joe electric pressure washer just for car washing, it was just over $100 at Sam's Club. It probably wouldn't be suitable for washing heavy equipment, etc but is perfect for washing cars. Not having to fiddle with (and listen to) a gas engine is really nice.

I also bought the cheapest foam cannon on Amazon, it would probably work better with a larger washer but is much more convenient than a wash bucket.

The well water quality at the garage isn't stellar..

The cart is from Harbor Freight, plumbing is 3/4 PEX. There are no mods to the pressure washer, it is held to the cart with a piece of #12 wire.

The filters are standard from any plumbing supply house, Lowe's, etc. The water goes in the (white) first filter at 40 micron, then 20 micron, finally 5 micron. The brass valve on top with the gray hose (old washing machine hose) is for purging the filters before use (water gets cruddy sitting in the filters) and then for filling up the wash mitt bucket.

Yes, I have a habit of overdoing things...

Heh, I've gotten lucky with my house purchase. Has a well and a cistern. Cistern is hooked to the front spigot (need to tie it in the rear one), so I should have some decent water to wash the vehicles with. Debating having a second spigot which is tied to the well, which has a water softener. Would make for some nice water in the bucket; suds galore! :D
